Technically a DC elseworlds project, but Dynamic Duo has me crazy excited

It’s gonna be using a blend of puppetry and CG animation! Pretty much no real footage is out besides some behind the scenes clips here and there, but I can’t wait.

The studio doing it is Sway Box studios, and they have footage examples of their animation style online.

I’m really curious as to how people that don’t know anything about Bionicle are gonna react to the lore dump for Tahu’s character analysis

Death Battle has introduced me to a TON of characters and even entire franchises that I had never heard of before watching - like Berserk, RWBY, Blaze Blue, Soul Caliber, Killer Instinct, etc.

My college roommate who had no prior interest in Bionicle basically joined the fandom once I showed him some of those cinematic Bionicle commercials from back in the day, so I’m curious if we’ll see some new fans enter the sphere.

[Animation trope] A character’s only reply is a held frame of a funny facial expression

  1. Justice League - Lex Luthor finding out he has a terminal illness
  2. King of the Hill - Westie Side Story
  3. My Adventures With Superman - Episode 3

The sheer look of contempt on Lex’s face because he knows the answer to the doctors question but impulsively doesn’t wanna impart any information is just hilarious.

Luanne is confused as to how the late policy at pizza restaurants used to work. King of the Hill has plenty of those blink and you’ll miss moments that are just fantastic.

And Clark getting exasperated by Lois’ antics in My Adventures with Superman is one of my favorite running gags in the series

I love when Superman makes superhero work look like a form of hazardous manual labor

It really emphasizes the whole “This is a job for Superman!” Vibe. It’s also another reason why I take issue with people calling him a god. Bro is always ready to roll up his sleeves and put in work to help out. There’s a lot more to being capable and dependable than just being strong

Y’all really gonna act like mercy and restraint aren’t foundational to Optimus’ character?

Been seeing a lot of Bayverse Prime defenders - which I’m fine with usually - but when we get into the territory of them being cool with Optimus stooping to the lows of his enemies, that’s where I’m wondering what we’re all even doing here.

I’m dying for a TMNT series where Donnie slowly learns to build more complex machinery over time, with the process also being hilarious

Like, im dying to see a slow progression of Donnie growing from his rinky dink but effective machines and tech, to genuinely impressive machines and equipment, and then later dabble into sci-fi stuff.

I love the idea of Donatello not exactly knowing what everything is named or knowing the formal aspects of engineering, but having great intuition and curiosity for putting things together and figuring things out. Turtles forever hinted at that idea.

This would also make for a fantastic story point where it’s addressed how much pressure he’s under because he’s the designated smart guy, and none of the others really bother to learn much about this stuff besides him.

1st image is of Murdock from The A-Team(2010)

And 2nd is from some funny reel I saw online

Something that’s always made the S-Shield symbol so iconic for me is that it always gives the vibe that it’s smiling

It always looks so confident and reassuring. Idk exactly how to describe it

I like to imagine a world where Dwayne McDuffie wrote for an animated Transformers series

Static Shock, Justice League, All-Star Superman(the movie), Ben 10 Alien Force, Teen Titans, Justice League Crisis on Two Earths, and a whole lotta comics.

A goat.

Made a public tier-list template for the weapons and offensive items in the Aligned Continuity (to the best of my memory)

https://preview.redd.it/ws12048n206h1.png?width=1458&format=png&auto=webp&s=221813cc57a9162c189765debe3760de51edb039

The images aren't cropped because I think it can already be confusing enough to sort whats what depending on what you're looking at.

The images aren't sorted by my preference, I just wanted everyone to be able to see as many of the weapons and items added as possible.

I added Trytpicon, Metroplex, and Omega Supreme to the list just in case anyone wanted to rank them with the weapons as well - as I was kind of torn, so I figured I'd lend everyone the option.

Some of the weapons are repeats because some of the FOC weapons are basically upgraded versions of weapons from WFC with the same or slightly altered names.

I also included the Star Saber and Requiem Blaster.

Let me know if I should add anything else... or if its too late for me to edit it since its public now.

What elemental types would y’all be based on the logic (or lack there of) in D-Frag?

u/ChickenzInvade — 3 months ago

“Not All Men” needs to be said to men who try to make generalized statements about all men to excuse their own weird or toxic behavior

I can’t stand when guys go around saying stuff like;

“A girl’s guy friends will always wanna sleep with her. All men would sleep with their friends that are girls if given the chance”

“Men don’t wash their hands after going to the bathroom unless someone is watching” etc.

I swear I once heard a guy try to say that all men are attracted to “feminine beauty” regardless of age… it’s insane.

What’s a superpower that would suck to have but you kinda want it anyway?

For me, thinking of Dark and Dark from Inou Battle

Who would you cast as the English and Japanese voices for Takafudo if she had appeared in the anime?

As the title says, who would you cast to voice Hata Takafudo if she were to appear in the anime?

Anime, video games, YouTube, etc. background doesn’t really matter - any talent you think would fit!

Bonus question, how would you translate her dialect habits (desuno) for the dub?

Is Daredevil the physically strongest non-enhanced human in the MCU right now?

EDIT: *I’m referring to DD not having enhanced strength, I know he’s an enhanced human. I can’t change the title of the post 💀💀

I’m not taking all around power-scaling or including gear, but in terms of raw literal strength, he always seems implied to be a cut above the rest.

Since DD 2015 he’s been casually dropping feats that no other non-enhanced human character has been able to replicate or come close to in the MCU.

Stuff like swinging around what looks like steel grade utility chain(which is pretty heavy if you’ve ever lifted it before), smashing Jessica Jone’s camera with one hand, etc.

It makes me think that he might be the only physically peak human character in the MCU currently.

This thought mainly comes from seeing the “Cap V Daredevil” Thread get thrown around repeatedly. I think Steve Rogers has too much of an edge in strength and durability for MCU Daredevil to handle, but I see Matt giving him a better fight than any other human without enhanced strength outside of Shang Chi.

I swear realizing that you’re skilled enough to take on the prime-mode bots in FOC campaign was a high that no other game has given me since
