How to make myself standout for a role?

I’ve been applying to hundreds of jobs over the past few months and poof, nothing! For the ones I’m particularly excited about, I’ll even tailor my resume and do a cover letter even if it’s not required.

There’s one job I’ve just applied to that would be my DREAM role. Ticks all of my boxes, but I’m afraid I’ll just end up in another pile they won’t get to. How can I make myself standout? I always get mixed advice on messaging people from the team on LinkedIn, but what could I say? And would it be too intense to show up to the office and personally hand in my resume?

I sick of being filtered out by AI and not even given a chance, really willing to do anything (within professional parameters) to help me standout 🙏

My perfect boy helped my grandfather pass peacefully

This is Ash. He is the sweetest, most cuddly angel, but is very timid to noises and certain movements.

A year ago I moved into my grandparents house to help my grandma with my grandpa as he had end of life stage dementia.

Ash would NEVER go into their room since my grandpa would often make noises/movements that scared him, but the night my grandpa passed was a different story.

Ash stayed with us in the room for hours. He jumped onto my grandpa’s bed, walked on top of him, sniffed him and then laid at the edge of the bed the entire time until he passed away. Both my grandma and I were astonished.

I believe he stayed there with him to help him cross over to the other side. I’ve heard stories of animals being spirit guides and I felt like I witnessed it firsthand ❤️. He made a sad moment into something more comforting and it made my grandma so happy. Thank you, buddy
