Anyone know good libraries or study spots around Pannipitiya?

Hi! I'm 24F. Been getting a bit fed up with studying from home all the time so I'm looking for a quiet place around Pannipitiya to attend my online lectures and get some work done.

I came across the Srilal Hikkaduwa Liyanage Commemoration Library in Pannipitiya. Does anyone know if it has laptop charging points and A/C?

If not are there any other libraries or similar places nearby you'd recommend? Preferably not cafés since I'm looking for somewhere I can use regularly.

Also if anyone around the area studies or works from libraries it'd be nice to connect and maybe make a friend or two along the way. Thanks!

24F - Anyone want to be chat buddies today?

Hello!

I'm looking for someone to talk with today. It would be great to find a long term friend but I know that's pretty rare online so I'm keeping my expectations realistic.

What I am looking for is someone who's interested in an actual conversation not just a few one word replies before disappearing.

A little about me:
I’m a CS student who loves music, true crime & conspiracy theories, movies/TV series, stargazing and trying new food spots and cafés.

You don't need to have the same hobbies as me. I think good conversations come more from curiosity and mutual effort than shared interests.

If you're friendly, respectful and would like to get to know someone new, send me a message and tell me a little about yourself. Bonus points if you are in tech too.

Looking forward to hearing from you. 😁

What Should a Beginner Learn Before Starting Freelancing?

I'm 24F final year CS student trying to prepare for freelance software development. I want to learn how professional software freelancers work with clients from start to finish. so I'd really appreciate constructive advice from those with experience.

Could you share your typical workflow? what resources helped you learn them? If you could start over what skills, tools or habits would you learn first?

TIA!

It's so frustrating - 24f

I'm so tired of being lonely.

Not even in a romantic sense anymore. At this point, I'd settle for a genuine friendship.

I've spent so much time trying to improve my situation. I've tried making friends on Reddit. I've tried joining conversations. I've tried online dating because I don't have much of a social life offline.

And nothing seems to work.

The part that annoys me the most is when people make friendship posts saying things like "I accept everyone" or "I won't ghost" and then they do exactly that. Why even say it if you're going to disappear after a few messages?

It feels like everyone talks about wanting connection, but nobody wants to put in the effort required to actually build one.

I know nobody owes me friendship. I know people get busy. But when this happens over and over and over again, it's hard not to wonder what the point is.

I'm just frustrated. I feel stuck. My social life is basically nonexistent, which makes it harder to make friends, which makes it harder to date, which makes me feel even more isolated.

I don't really expect anyone to solve this. I just needed to get it off my chest.

Does anyone else feel like they're constantly trying but never getting anywhere?
