Uniden R4 GPS

I have had this radar detector for about a year now and I like it most of the time. My issue is that occasionally the GPS fails to lock on and all of your mute memory is now worthless. I returned the unit once when it failed to connect to GPS for over a week and got a new one. For the last 2 days, it will not connect.

I live in Northern Colorado and it is sunny and smokey right now.

Spring bar tip broke off

The tip of a spring bar snapped clean off in my dive watch head. I can’t seem to get it out so I can put another spring bar in. Any suggestions on how to get it out?

Is my house already overloaded?

https://preview.redd.it/e7w7z2pl2v7h1.png?width=665&format=png&auto=webp&s=652e0c060114454b9f88cb175b38be8eccd1a96c

Here is what my 150 amp service is feeding in our home. This is as we purchased it a few years ago. My wife asked if we could consider adding a hot tub but I am now concerned that we are already overloaded.

A couple of notes. The basement is finished and there is a 100A circuit that goes to the basement panel. 90+% of the time there is nothing happening on the basement panel as nobody is down there. Same for upstairs (4,6,10 & 12 on main panel). We spend 90+% of our time on the main level.

Finally, we don't have an electric dryer so that 15A circuit just goes to a plug with nothing in it.

What are your thoughts? Can an electrician add a circuit to the hot tub or do we need to get the service provider to increase our service feed to 200 amp?

NOTE: The double sized cells mean that there is a tied together breaker so 2x the value (Basement Steam Shower is a double 40A tied together)

Cloudsurfer is by far the noisiest shoe I have ever had!

These shoes are unbelievably comfortable but unbearably noisy. Not only do they squeak (which I have to treat weekly by roughing up the holes with sandpaper) but the soles stick to just about every smooth surface that I walk on.

Are all OnCloud shoes this noisy?

I (62M) am in Colorado so ski the Rockies every season. My son (27M) moved to Minnesota but comes back to Colorado to ski each winter. We are both black diamond skiers but also enjoy the long cruising runs. Neither of us drink so we like good food but not the bar scene.

I have been to Europe skiing 35 years ago and it was awesome. I skied 1 weekend at Zermatt and one weekend in Warth, Austria. Both were pretty reasonable at that time but I understand Zermatt has become more like our American resorts.

Is there a recommendation for a resort area that is similar to Zermatt but not as expensive?

We are looking at January or February 2027.
