I need help with paying for the vet for my budgie

She laid an egg about a month ago, and at first everything looked normal. But for the past two days she has been suffering badly and bleeding continuously. She became very weak, exhausted, and clearly in pain, which made me extremely worried about her condition. I contacted the vet immediately, and after explaining everything they told me she most likely needs an operation, but the surgery costs around $200. Right now I’m really stressed and trying to find a way to help her as soon as possible.

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore with my residency situation in Turkey

Title: I honestly don’t know what to do anymore with my residency situation in Turkey

I’ve been living in Turkey for many years legally and recently ended up in a very stressful situation because of work permit/residency issues caused by company mistakes and cancellations.

I worked legally for months, then during a work permit transfer process things became complicated. One application got canceled, my residency application was later rejected under Article 32, and now I’m stuck in this horrible legal uncertainty while trying to appeal and survive financially at the same time.

What makes it harder is that I’m also taking care of my elderly mother here. She depends on me completely. I barely sleep anymore because every day feels like fear, confusion, lawyers saying different things, deadlines, immigration stress, and not knowing if I’ll suddenly lose everything I built here over the years.

I never even lived in my country before, so the thought of being forced there honestly terrifies me.

Has anyone here gone through something similar in Turkey with residence permit rejection, humanitarian residence permit, or court appeals? I just want honest experiences or advice or any support because mentally I feel exhausted.

[F29] Reached my breaking point with [M29] after 2 years of ghosting and "marriage promises."

I reached my breaking point after 2 years of being ghosted and manipulated

I have been in a toxic cycle for two years with a man who specializes in the disappearing act. He would treat me like his future wife for a week, then vanish for months without a word. While we were together, he would openly flirt with others, making me feel completely invisible. I stayed because I was addicted to the crumbs of affection and the promises of marriage he would dangle whenever I tried to leave.

Has anyone else ever reached a point where they started acting like their manipulator just to get them to stop? I feel lost.

What’s a completely irrational thing that instantly improves your mood?

Mine is when cats randomly choose me as their temporary employee on the street.

I don’t own them. I don’t know them. But somehow for 3 minutes I become responsible for their emotional wellbeing 😭

Does anyone else feel mentally exhausted even when they technically did nothing all day?

Sometimes stress alone feels more tiring than physical work. You wake up already mentally drained and spend the whole day trying to calm your thoughts.

I miss the feeling of having a genuinely peaceful mind for even one full day.

Help an Afghan Woman in Istanbul Fight Deportation and Protect Her Elderly Mother

am an Afghan woman living in Istanbul for nearly 8 years. During this time, I lived legally, worked hard, and built my life here while caring for my elderly mother, for whom I am the sole caregiver.

Recently, my legal status was put at risk after a work permit transfer process failed due to mistakes during my employer’s application process. Because of this technical issue, I lost both my job and my residency status despite trying to resolve everything through legal channels as quickly as possible.

I am now running against a 10-day deportation deadline and urgently trying to hire a lawyer to fight my case in court and protect my right to stay safely in Türkiye. Returning to Afghanistan is not safe for me as a woman, and this situation has left me emotionally and financially devastated.

At the moment, I urgently need help covering lawyer fees, court expenses, rent, food, and basic survival costs while I continue this legal fight and care for my mother.

This fundraiser is being managed on my behalf by a family member abroad due to platform and payment limitations. All donations will go directly toward supporting me during this extremely difficult period.

To everyone who donated, shared, or even took the time to read my story — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness, support, and prayers truly mean more to me than words can explain. Even sharing this fundraiser can make a huge difference for us. 🤍

Hi everyone, I’m looking for guidance regarding my current immigration situation in Turkey.

I’ve been living in Istanbul for over 7 years and held a valid residence permit continuously for around 8 years. I always tried to follow the rules and stay fully compliant.

Last year, I obtained a work permit and started working legally. Later, I had to change companies, and the new employer applied for a transfer. Unfortunately, due to issues on their side, the application wasn’t completed properly. Around the same time, my previous permit was canceled.

Since then, my situation has become very complicated.

I applied again for a residence permit as a backup, but it was rejected under Article 32. I am now out of legal status, even though I did everything I could to stay compliant.

I have already spent a significant amount of money on applications and legal fees, and I’m now trying to understand the best way forward.

What makes this more difficult is that I am the sole caregiver for my elderly mother who lives with me here, so leaving the country is not a simple option.

At this point, I’m considering:

Filing an appeal against the rejection

Applying for humanitarian residence

I would really appreciate any guidance on:

Which option is stronger in practice (appeal vs humanitarian residence)?

Whether it’s possible or advisable to pursue both

If there are any NGOs or organizations in Turkey that provide support (legal or financial) in cases like mine

If anyone has gone through a similar situation or has knowledge about this process, your advice would mean a lot to me.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
