Anyone else notice automation games getting laggy in late game (big factories, tons of processes)?

I tried WMaster Cleanup Game Booster to clear background apps + free RAM before playing:

Didn’t boost FPS much, but felt a bit smoother over longer sessions.

Do these tools actually help, or is late-game lag mostly engine/CPU limits?

I’ve been playing a lot of strategy games lately (where long sessions and late-game performance can get rough), and I started noticing stutters and slowdowns over time.

Tried a few tweaks and ended up testing WMaster Cleanup Game Booster, which basically handles background cleanup and frees RAM before starting the game. It didn’t boost FPS much, but it did make things feel more stable during longer sessions.

Curious from other strategy players—do you think system optimization tools actually help in these kinds of games, or is performance mostly dependent on the game engine and hardware?

Hey devs, I’ve been working on WMaster Cleanup Game Booster and wanted some technical feedback.

The idea is to improve gaming performance by optimizing the system environment—closing background processes, freeing RAM, and reducing resource load before launching games. No changes to game files or engines, just system-level tweaks.

You can see what I’m building here:

From testing, it helps with smoother gameplay (less stutter), but not major FPS gains.

Curious from a dev perspective:

  • Do tools like this still add value with modern OS resource management?
  • Any risks around system stability or conflicts (e.g., anti-cheat)?
  • Would exposing advanced controls make this more useful?

Would really appreciate technical insights

I’m exploring a business idea around a tool called WMaster Cleanup Game Booster. The concept is to help gamers improve performance without upgrading hardware by automating tasks like closing background apps, freeing RAM, and optimizing system resources before gameplay.

I’ve been testing an early version (this is what I’m working on: https://www.wmastercleanup.com/game-booster.html), and the biggest impact isn’t higher FPS but smoother, more consistent performance with fewer stutters.

That makes me question the value—this feels more like convenience than a core need.

For those with experience:

  • What makes a simple tool worth monetizing?
  • How do you validate real demand early?
