Does anybody else get frustrated ? the answer to every problem in the company is will send an email and then nothing ever happens.

Your tills don’t work properly and randomly reboot ,the air-conditioning is broken see working sometimes in 30 to 40° heat ,the Wi-Fi keeps cutting out so contactless payments and digital club cards stop working ,

We have refrigeration that keep breaking down in the summer. This happens every year nobody is bothered to do anything about it.

We have a petrol station pump they got hit by a car. It’s still waiting to be repaired two years later.

How do you deal with gossip?

Had a gossip name drop me saying I said something I never did because they hold a grudge against another member of staff who got a team leader role they got refused.

Causing an incident that required me to go to a senior manager to intervene.

I am a recently late diagnosed autistic and have enough on my plate.

Have you accidentally stopped a shoplifter?

Yesterday, I felt like Mr. Bean I was serving customers and the security barrier went off. Didn’t even see the lady go through.
Turned around to do the usual can I have your receipt to remove whatever tags you have?

She then desperately needed the toilet as she tried to push the trolley to the toilet I said you can leave that here I’ll look after it.

She got halfway to the toilet, turned around and walked straight out the shop and didn’t come back.

Grabbed one of the runners said this woman’s done something unusual she walked out without her trolley and it turned out, she tried to do a push through without paying.

The trolley was full of £340 worth of tomato sauce , salad cream ,washing up tablets, meat and big bags of rice.

Annoying meal deal customer

Had a foreign guy who’s English wasn’t very good he had a trolley full of meal deals 18 of them with some other bits.
I do my best to help him and practically scan the whole trolley through the self service tills for him .
He sees the price is over £90 and then tells me he doesn’t want any it the whole trolley.

He looks at me and can obviously see I’m noticeably irritated and says very sorry in broken English then disappears back into the shop with another trolley to start again .

It took everything I had to bite my tongue.
He comes back, expecting me to help him again and hands back half of what he got on his second attempt.

I was so glad to see the back of him.
