LYS yarn

I signed up for a class at my LYS and need to get yarn. It’s quite a bit of yarn and the LYS is 60% more expensive than if I buy it online. I buy from the shop whenever I stop by but I feel this sense of guilt wanting to buy it online because of the class. I could use some advice. I support all my LYS and buy whenever I visit other LYS.

Listening to your body tips

Hi, I’m looking to you all for tips and recommendations to get my 3 y/o to listen to his body when it comes to needing to use the potty and taking naps. He’s very capable but struggle with pausing play or “work”. For naps, he still very much needs them but suggests he’ll do quiet time but then gets overtired. I’ve tried many things for both situations and at a loss.

Mom Anxiety

How are you coping with anxiety as a mom? Does it ever go away? I already have social anxiety and since having a child I find that I’m more anxious. Then, add in the school functions here and there with small talk with other parents.

Deworming

I overheard a few moms today talking about deworming and couldn’t catch what exactly was being said since I needed to give my attention to my child. I’m curious are you deworming your kids? Have I missed this and should have been doing it this whole time?! I have a 3 year who loves to play, isn’t shy about touching sand and dirt.

EDIT: Thank you all for the responses! Glad it’s only necessary for pinworms and I would have consulted my pediatrician before doing any kind of treatment if needed. Phew! Thank you parents!

Citizenship and timeline

There was that rumor of Justin getting kicked out of the US and needing a citizenship. Boom, marries Hailey hastily.

Then, there was all this talk about divorce in the tabloids for a long time and Justin not being happy. I wonder if he was getting ready to leave her right at that 5 year mark which he could apply to be naturalized. Then, she gets pregnant.

Married: Sept 2018

5 year mark: Sept 2023

Hailey pregnant: Dec 2023 (Jbb born Aug 2024)

Vowel renewal: May 2024

He recommits because she’s expecting.

How do I clean hardwood floors?

My previous home had LVP but parts of the board started to come up, partly due to not great product and worried I may have used too much cleaning solution (swifer). I want to preserve these floors and looking for the best way to clean them.

Implant feeling

Once you get an implant does the post feel like there’s something in your mouth? I’m not new to dental work and have crowns and a bridge. If I need an implant in my future and I’m wondering if you can feel the post.

Crown color choice

NAD

Is there a reason why some dentist don’t help with picking the color of your crowns? I recently got my front teeth fixed and my dentist came by maybe once during the process while I was with the tech. The tech kept insisting the white was a good shade which it clearly was too white. I said I’d like it warmer and luckily one of the hygienist was on my side and agreed warmer would be better. The tech would have to do extra work in the lab to color match.

Also, is it possible to “test drive” a permanent crown by temporarily cementing to see if you like the color or not then making adjustments later. I think it takes time to know what looks good with different lighting. I know it won’t be perfect and porcelain absorbs the light around.

Rate my haircut

I just got my haircut 5 days ago and I absolutely hate it. My bangs are uneven and I have visible layers. First cut with this person was the best cut I’ve had in a while. Went back and I said I want the same cut because I loved it. He checked it out and said he knew what to do. Now I can’t put my hair up because one side of my bangs looks like a straight blunt cut. Am I being ridiculous? Just want to make sure I’m not crazy.

Advice needed- New build house shower grout failing?

We bought our house brand new, the tile work in our shower looks like it’s beginning to get voids on the grout. We’ve used the shower 6 weeks total. I don’t have any experience with tile install but I don’t believe the grout should be getting voids only after 6 weeks.

Can someone please educate me? How to best remediate the grout? The builder has already agreed to come out and fix it but I want to make sure they are going to fix it the proper way and not just a latch job.

TLDR: New build house shower tile grout looks to be failing only after 6 weeks of use. Is this normal? Need advice on proper way to fix it.

Tell me if this is sealed or unsealed grout

We just bought this house a little over a month ago. I started noticing some stains already on the floor grouts, as well as pores appearing. To me this looks like it was not sealed or not sealed properly. I need some expert opinions please. Here are a few photos with (1) a water test showing the darker color change and (3) grout becoming porous.

EDIT: this is newly installed tile, used roughly about 6 weeks.
