this post i found on my fyp completely defies the canon of two bits character and background. this post states that two bits sister (the reader, in this case) has moved in with two bit after her parents death. right off the bat, this doesnt make sense. its stated in the outsiders that two bit already lives with his younger sister and his mom. their father is seemingly absent, yes, but that doesnt mean either parent is dead. everyone on the east side is more poor than OP's writing skills, i dont think the greasers would be able to afford to move in or out of tulsa. another thing id like to mention is that OP writes two bits sister — who ill refer to as baby bit — as a 16 year old. again, i dont think this lines up with the canon because ponyboy refers to her as two bits "kid sister," likely implying that baby bit is a young child no older than 10. this fanfic written through tiktok also seemingly implies dallas x reader/baby bit, which i think is just gross considersing canon baby bits implied age. as somebody who adores giving headcanons to characters and seeing other peoples headcanons for characters, even minor characters who arent relevant to the plot, this is the worst way ive seen two bits sister be written. what are your guys thoughts? what might you agree or disagree with about my take?
