I was at an estate sale a few months back and purchased a file cabinet. The owner emptied its contents in a trash bin right there at that time. About a month went by and I was about to use the cabin when I found some old documents way in the back. There are social security cards, birth certificates, and adoption papers. I boxed these up and mailed them to the house where I bought the cabinet but they were returned to me. What should I do with these? Destroy them?
