I got an older PS5 controller and for the games I already own I get thrown back into main menu asking to update controller. If I say no then I can't play my games? Is this a thing? If so, why aren't people aware or doing anything about controllers locked behind software now to play games and consoles already paid for?
The last fight of the game didn't really still make sense why we went into it. The rest was fine though.
Unlocking the terminus weapon transcended and then missions after that just doesn't feel right. There was still more story to do in Proud after getting your terminus weapon. So many missions after too and we knew more content was coming. Not knowing if there will be future content feels disheartening.
I wish this game was like Monster Hunter or something that had seasonal events, fashion, or reasons to stay on and grind.

From the video announcement, everyone is thinking of enemies dropping blood in circles and collecting blood to fight Morditas. If not circles, then what would the mechanic be? Just a random blood pack of enemies and then have woven echoes to get more packs of blood enemies?
Hearing season 5 content sounds like EHG just scraping by. It sucks because they are so focused on Season 6-8 with DLC release. Probably 80% of the devs working on that stuff and left season 5 with a few team members.
I keep seeing posts from old players about fixing old issues, but I rarely see anyone discuss why Last Epoch got here so quickly. I want to break this down and get people’s thoughts.
1.Decision to compete against Path of Exile
During the early days, EHG repeatedly stated they never wanted to compete with PoE, positioning LE as more like Grim Dawn or Titan Quest. Yet they continued pushing features directly derived from PoE. Even the microtransaction business model is identical: live-server focus, no offline cosmetics early on, and constant live releases. Season 2 highlighted this shift most clearly, right before EHG’s acquisition by Krafton.
When you have to repeatedly ask your own players on forums what they want - especially when that’s your entire cash flow after the initial purchase - you’re failing on the vision. For PoE, stash tabs sell the most, followed by supporter packs and skill effects.
We all saw the Season 3-4 roadmap, and it was so poorly received they had to redo and re-reveal it. From point 1: Path of Exile will always be ahead in content development and release pace, and the competition will outpace EHG. This isn’t the devs’ fault - GGG simply has worldwide talent and nearly 20 years of pipeline refinement.
From a business perspective, it might be better to release no information at all -maybe a week or two before a season drop. Players would disagree, but this approach keeps expectations low and drives marketing and sales. Also, how about a normal release schedule? This game desperately needs consistency.
Sure, you could argue the system has improved or changed slightly since 1.0, but the reality is players are bored doing the same endgame grind for two years straight. Only had 1-2 pinnacle bosses. At this point, Mark Roberts alone could design and implement pinnacle bosses as a consultant faster. (Sorry EHG devs, but what's going on here?)
Why do people think tech companies who have the richest people in the world are great companies to work at?
How are companies like Oracle with Larry Ellison, the world's 5th richest person at $300+Billion and co-founder still work with their employees earning as low as $25 per hour?
NVIDIA CEO Jensen at $200B+ with lowest employee wages of $20 per hour.
The list could go on for the next 1000+ companies. Why do we as a culture praise these companies to work for?

I’ve been friends with someone overseas for almost 15 years. We’ve stayed in touch on and off, but her main struggle has always been her family “hating” her. She still lives with her parents at 31. Over the years, I’ve tried giving advice. encouraging her to go to school again, find a new job, or gain independence. but nothing changes.
I stopped offering advice unless she asks, but she still randomly messages me with the same issues. She’s even said she’s jealous of my family situation. At this point, I’m exhausted. It’s depressing to hear the same complaints, and I find her lack of action immature.
How do I set boundaries without feeling guilty? Or am I being too harsh?
