What are some of your favorite custom rulers that you've made?

I always like seeing what kinds of rulers and factions people come up with. Also since I asked here are some of my custom rulers I've made in my time playing this game.

Guess they didn't like me pointing out to everyone that their thirst trap post was AI

Also if some dude actually gave 400$ to somebody knowing they were AI I feel kind of sad for that guy honestly,

Also I didn't even just randomly call out that post for being AI I checked for SynthID and it came back positive. Don't even remember what subreddit it was since the post in question just got randomly recommended on my reddit feed but I guess they are ok with AI over there then.

Is this add for a steam game I found on reddit AI? I checked for SynthID and gemini did detect SynthID it but I just wanted to be sure

Like the title says gemini did detect the presece of SynthID but I wanted to make sure incase my gemini / SynthID check was acting up or something. It's especially odd to me as the other add form the same game I found did not check positive for SynthID.

What would you all like to see more of when it comes to Lego art sets?

Personally I'd love to see some lego-fied paintings / portraits. Sort of like how the Mona Lisa in the Leonardo Da Vinci GWP looks like an actual Minifigure. Not that I dislike the actual Mona Lisa set they did.

Or something like the Painting in the image here ( just at a reasonable/ smaller scale)

With the next DLC dropping tomorrow, what fun builds have you been running lately?

Don't have to necessarily be the best or most optimized builds just some builds you had fun with.

One of the builds I had fun with is a nomad scavenger assassin build.

For my form traits I went with sneaky for more flanking damage and strong to further increase damage. Also took underground adaptation and and uncooperative as a negative trait so that I can also grab athletics for increased mobility in combat during the early game.

Then for my empire traits I went with talented collectors and subterranean society. I also went with a frost giant ruler and started with tome of cryomancy. That way you can just terraform the underground to snow so it generates you mana. And this way you can get even more mana via your school of cryomancy. Then you can just mostly turtle underground while resetting your magic materials since those give loads of resources via talented collectors.

Then for my other tomes I went with tome of pyromancy, tome of shades, tome of the sand stalkers, tome of devastation, tome of artificing,, tome of calamity, tome of the demon gate and finally tome of the chaos lord.

I also made sure to make my leader a ritualist as the big AOE thorn debuff spell is really good with this. Especially since the distracted it can apply works really nice with all the bonus flaking damage you get. Then you just start spamming out shades (and warbreeds for when you want a bit more of a tanky frontline) With all of the buffs you can pretty easily get your shades to over 100% crit chance. And that combined with the bonus flanking damage from sneaky and dunestalkers as well as ignoring half of the armor on blinded targets means you can do pretty decent damage. Especially if you can g et some stacks of looted power going on top of that.

Again, it's not the most optimized build but it was pretty fun to go around the map with a bunch of flying demon assassins just flanking people.

What are some of your favorite units?

I quite like shades with the new rework to resistance / armor. It makes the fact shades can ignore half the enemies armor quite a bit better.

But I am interested to hear bout other peoples favorite units and combos.

If AI curing cancer is one of the pro ai arguments, then why are we wasting so much compute on generative AI?

I'd consider myself on the anti ai side of the debate but I fully support AI for medical research and finding cures and other scientific breakthroughs

So if the fact AI could cure cancer is one of the arguments people use in favor of AI, why are we pouring insane amounts of compute power, chips, money, and datacenters into image/video generators instead of medical AI?

Honestly I think all of those resources and even the AI companies themselves would be better off for society if shifted more toward medical/scientific research AI as that would be way more beneficial to society than things like image and video generation generation.

Wouldn’t that be a way better use of AI overall?

Honest question about AI art and disclosing ai use.

Mostly posing this question for pro ai people as I'm pretty sure I already know what stance anti AI people hold ( that it should be disclosed). That said I encourage anyone to respond especially as discussions regarding AI is what the sub is supposed to be about.

Anyways on to my question. I've seen some people saying they should not have to disclose ai and when they are required to they are being unfairly targeted.

But at the same time I've also seen a lot of people saying that if you don't like ai that's fine and you should just ignore it and move on. Now I feel it would be a lot easier for people to just ignore ai art / ai content if it's disclosed right?

So my question is what everyone's stance is on the topic.

With Giant Kings / Eldritch sovereigns / Dragon rulers being somewhat more limited in customization options then the regular racial rulers What are some of your favorite designs you've made for these types of rulers?

I guess since I went ahead and asked other people to share, here is on of my Giant King rulers I sorta like the design of.

At this point it's clear both sides of the debate aren't going to find any common ground on this.

A question I have is why the people using generative ai care if other people consider it art or not. I mean people saying ai art isn't art font stop you from just creating what you want to creating and sharing what you want. Soy question is why you'd care if others see it as art or not.
