So when i installed the flatpak file for bitwarden i think (maybe the steam.deb but i remember this as bitwarden) konqueror randomly opened when i clicked on the .ref file in the firefox downloads thing. Why did this happen? Sorry, just paranoid. I run debian 13 stable.

So i have alot of stuff bios related that the firmware security tells me i should change. It says minimum stage 1 security should be the minimum. I did enable secure boot and do some stuff all that but still, alot of red flags. One of which is tpm 2.0 which i dont have. Should i worry about it knowing bios related attacks are rare and im not targeted?Will i be safe if i ignore it? Im new to kde plasma so i noticed it just now. Thanks.

Alot of acpi errors too, and also says SGX is disabled or unsupported by bios. Any help? I have an intel i5 7400 if that helps. Updt: its on the normal netinst usb too.

Hello! I ran a (shiver me timbers) windows game with q4wine on linux. I didnt set up any sandboxing. I didnt give the program sudo, although i ran sudos for other stuff. When i ran the installer, everything was fine until it started installing when it display an abortion message in red in russian. I installed debian with delete all partitions on, but i didnt wipe the drive. I wiped other drives on the pc. Passwords rotated, router checked, seems fine. I installed rkhunter and it gave me 6 warnings, its another post, but people said that its just rkhunter. Clamscan infected files 0 total errors:834.

I recently reinstalled my os with delete all partitions on, (not a full disk wipe!) because i installed shady windows software via q4wine, (i didnt set up any sandboxing), and i felt i should prob. not be using the old os anymore. I ran an rkhunter scan and i got these warnings: /usr/bin/lwp-request Checking for suspicious (large) shared memory segments Checking for hidden files and directories. Any help?

I use brave, and i ofc have brave shield on. When i clicked on an ad (for some kia accesories(accidentaly) it didnt even reach halfway i clicked off. Didnt even go to my browser history. Deleted cookies from the last 24 hours. Am i safe? Sorry im really paranoid about everything. I dont know what site it sent me to, didnt read it. I had this ad on polybuzz (i know shame on me) and i think the url thing only said polybuzz.ai, didnt go further. Sorry that i dont have the link, again i dont have it.

I downloaded a cracked game from an invite only site, which comments said for someone it worked, for someone it didnt. My friend downloaded it, he scanned it with avast, no virus found. Hes on windows im on linux. I ran it with q4wine, and after said install it wrote an error message in russian. For my friend it worked till the loading screen. I uploaded some files on this run to mega. I reinstalled the os, all partitions deleted, and i plan to wipe the drives too. On my phone i previewed a .docx (mega) and i set libreoffice to preview it if i remember correctly. I didnt download it according to mega history, and i couldnt find the file either, nor in last used in libreoffice. So i most likely didnt download it, only preview it. Since then i changed my passwords. Sorry im very anxious and i have stomach problems with it. I had no log ins anytime.

so today i downloaded a game installer from "alternative sources" with q4wine, but it wrote some russian in red and it said that it will abort the installer. From the sources it says multiple people saying its working for them on windows, but my friend (also on windows) said it alerted avast with a scan, i scanned the iso with clamav and it said its safe. Am i safe or no?

how do i do a full scan on my pc with clamav?

UPDT: my friend didnt scan the game i ran, he scanned another which had a virus. The game i ran didnt have a virus (avast scan).
