Hurt my elbow bench pressing

I started 5x5 in late May and have been professing at the regular speed with adding weight. I recently slowed down the weight addition because my body is still very sore 4 days after a workout.

Today I started benching and my elbow immediately hurt. I tried to get through the sets but stopped at 2 and didn’t continue to BB rows because of the pain in that movement.

Does this just happen sometimes? Poor form possibly? Too much weight? I’m still brand new at this and trying to make it a lifestyle versus a quick snippet of time for health reasons. Thank you!

I don’t usually do weed killers but this horseweed is awful

I am in 6b, New England. We have mostly clover and grass and too many horseweeds to count. Is there a weed killer that will leave the clover alone but kill the horse weed?

This old girl is fading fast

Lulu is 15 and I’ve had her since she was 12 weeks old. Shes been such a strong, sweet dog and she’s been such a mainstay that I can’t believe she’ll be leaving us soon.

Her walking and balance has really taken a turn in the last couple weeks. The muscle mass in her hind legs has basically disappeared before our eyes. Our 5 year old dog is going to be so heartbroken along with us when Lulu lets us know it’s time.

Sorry for the melodrama. But she’s my girl

Are these hideous or can they be pulled off?

I recently discovered I can actually wear sneakers that fit my wide toes. But I’m not sure if they are just too ugly?

Letter in File

I am pretty new and was hired with the knowledge that I am in a masters program and needed time off for onboarding for my internship. On top of that I’ve had a couple sick days, a day out after a car accident, and have end of year celebrations for my kids I need to take a half day for. I was written up for going over my allotted absences.

I was a high school classroom teacher for over 15 years so this isn’t my first rodeo in a school.

My pay as a para is awful but I work very hard and love the kids I work with, they are in preschool special ed sub separate and are just the best.

This is clearly temporary but I don’t know if I can bring myself to go back in the fall. I don’t want to be known for being out a lot but I also refuse to miss my kid’s events so I don’t get written up in my “file.”

Mind you there are tons of para openings in this school, which is why I applied and figured after being hired with them knowing I needed time off for my internship that they agreed to my constraints.

Apparently not. So irritating and honestly feels way below my standard of work ethic. The principal who wrote me up doesn’t know the type of person I am but I know she doesn’t think highly of me at this point.

Overall I’m just really frustrated with myself. I am a full grown adult and work hard not to seem flaky or flippant and here I am with that persona now.

When will this influencer trend die?

I’m seriously so done with being online and constantly seeing some random nobody who happens to have a phone and ring light trying to sell me crap

Has anyone tried the quick stitch gun when wearing tops with buttons and do they work?

One of my big boob problems is that my buttons pop open. I went to a magic show with my family and the top two buttons kept coming undone. I saw the stitch gun and am curious if anyone has ever tried it.

Thank you!

I just had a huge meltdown because my daughter made me coffee and it spilled all over my bag

My 11-year-old just learned how to make coffee and she loves to do it for me and my husband now. She was excited to make me coffee today because I have a training for my Counseling masters program I’m in and wanted to do something special.

My travel, coffee cup is leak proof unless the top inside is not shut which I did not realize it wasn’t. So I locked it in the outside and assumed it was fine. Dropped the kids off at their respective schools. Stopped at CVS to grab some mixed nuts or a snack. Grabbed my two bag out of the backseat and realized that the coffee was completely empty. My leather bag is completely full of coffee and leaking and staining everything it touches and my Ferragamo back is covered too. Not to mention everything inside is destroyed.

Also, I had a couple blocks of cheese in the back of salami for lunch inside grocery bag that was covered and sticky. So now I’m walking into my training with two blocks of cheese and a bag of salami without any bags or purses because this morning is a complete nightmare.

Don’t even know the people I’m training for or with so it’s not a funny story I can tell. I can’t be late so I can’t stop for coffee and cheer myself up. I just have to think how ruined my bags are and how my day has to get better.

I know in the long run this is not matter and most important thing is my family’s health and happiness but boy I didn’t need this this morning.

Not to worry, I will not be mentioning it to my daughter because I definitely don’t wanna make her feel bad for trying to do a nice thing.

If anyone else wants to share stupid thing that made them breakdown to cheer me up, feel free.

TLDR: my daughter made me coffee but didn’t know how to close the inside of the top so it emptied out inside and all over my bags and I literally had a meltdown

Also I used talk to text and didn’t realize what a mess this was….. sorry!

Gave myself a Mother’s Day manicure to cheer myself up

I don’t like this day, it drives me kind of nuts.

But I wanted to feel a little good so I did my nails.

Hi! Has anyone planted their zinnia seeds outside yet?

I was checking out the night temps this week and they’re still pretty cool but I really want to plant them!

Should I wait? I seed the border between the sidewalk and lawn.

Looking for high-calorie (fat and protein heavy too) foods with minimal serving size

My little guy is not an eater. He eats oatmeal, belvita bars sometimes, and is obsessed with little bites muffins.

He is getting thinner and thinner and we’re worried he’s not getting enough of what he needs to grow. Does anyone have any autism-friendly food ideas that are calorie dense since he doesn’t like to eat a big portion?

Picture tax: his new bus from his cousin living abroad that he’s been loving today.

He’s 3, and is so high up on his tip toes that his pinky toes don’t even touch the ground. He can’t be flat footed at all, this is now his natural posture. He’s worn out two pairs of Billy shoes in less than a month because he crawls a lot. They also fall off constantly because he’s so high up on his toes.

Is there a good shoe that he can wear that will stay on and is more rugged for crawling? He’s not my kiddo (I also have a 3 year old with autism but he does not tip toe like this) but he’s my 1:1 kiddo and I don’t want his parents to keep buying a shoe that’s super expensive and not even working for him.

I do want to add that I know that this is not healthy for him and he does get services but his feet are just not going to change without surgery. It makes me wonder how this even happened and how a doctor didn’t catch it but that’s a whole other story.

Any recommendations would be great. Thank you!
