I am afraid to complaint in railmadad

A few months ago, I reported an unclean washroom in my coach through RailMadad because no attendant was available. Within five minutes, three to five railway staff members came directly to my seat, questioned me about the complaint, and then cleaned the washroom. While I appreciate the prompt action taken, the experience made me uncomfortable. It felt as though my identity as the complainant had been disclosed to everyone involved.

As a passenger, I should be able to report genuine issues without feeling exposed or intimidated. If multiple staff members know exactly who made the complaint, it may discourage passengers from reporting problems in the future due to fear of harassment, confrontation, or retaliation.

In fact, during my recent journey on the Kerala Express, I boarded the train just five stops after it originated. Despite this, the washrooms were already in a filthy condition. However, I chose not to raise a complaint through RailMadad because of my previous experience. I believe many passengers may also hesitate to report genuine issues for the same reason.

I request that RailMadad adopt a more privacy-conscious approach. When a complaint is received, the concerned staff should simply be informed that there is a complaint regarding a particular coach or facility, without revealing the complainant's seat number or identity unless it is absolutely necessary. The staff can inspect the issue and take corrective action on their own.

Once the issue has been attended to, RailMadad or a designated railway official can contact the complainant privately through the registered mobile number or the RailMadad app to confirm whether the complaint has been satisfactorily resolved.

Implementing such a system would protect passenger privacy, encourage more people to report genuine issues without fear, and at the same time ensure that railway staff remain accountable for resolving complaints promptly. It would improve passenger confidence in RailMadad and ultimately help Indian Railways maintain better standards of cleanliness and service.
