ways to learn more about the world of hunters

basicaaly all is said in title. i want to learn more on hunters as theyve always seemed like an aspect of the world of darkness that seemed really interesting. the only real knowledge i have of them os from their appearance in vampire: the masquerade: bloodlines as the "society of leopold".

i know that there are two different versions of hunters and im personally interested in the more powerful ones who receieve their energy from mysterious sources, like the society of leopold.

keep in mind im still relatively new to the world of darkness, i started with vampire the masquerade and im only recently learning more about werewolf: the apocalypse. also, i really love learning about these worlds by being thrust into them through games or stories, rather than encyclopedic sourcebooks, so if ayone can recommend any good video games or interactive novels set in the world, thatd be great

thanks in advance!

Cant get the unofficial patch to launch

Whenever I try to select the unofficial patch from the loader, i just get shown a grey loading screen without the application opening.

I've used the unofficial patch before and run several playthroughs but it's just not working anymore for some reason. I moved the file for the game around one time so I think maybe that caused it?

Anybody know how to fix this? I'm in the middle of a playthrough so is prefer not to have to delete and reinstall anything if it means losing my save. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this has ever been pointed out before.

not sure if this has been pnted out before but in the dat ychud vault, you can find these strangely shapped metal balls. these are actually "roman dodecahedrons", a real life archeologial mystery. archaeologists found them basically anyplace where roman soldiers would have been, and their true purpose is still totally unknown.

The dat ychud are supposed to have knowledge of strange and advanced sciences unknown to the rest of the world. so i supoose the in world explanation to this mystery is that they were engineered by the dat ychud, and the knowledge of their purpose was kept away from the rest of the world.

Does protean claw damage scale with melee or unarmed?

I'm doing a gangrel run and was wondering if the damage from the protean discipline scaled with the unarmed stat or with the melee stat.

Thanks in advance

Just got kicked out of LaCroixs office after coming back from grouts mansion

So I refused to go along with LaCroixs schemes of getting back the sarcophagus. I expected that he would just use dominate on me and force me to go. But unexpectedly, he actually asked the sheriff to show me out and I was booted from the penthouse.

I just wanted to ask if there was anything unique I could do from here on? I'm in pretty good with the anarchs but I don't necessarily want to join them.

It seems like I have to go back and apologize to continue the story but I was just wondering if there was anything else I could do.

I'm playing a toreador and this is my 5th playthrough

best way to play redemption?

so i played through bloolines and absolutely loved it (just finished my 4th playthrough) and wanted to give redemption a shot, but i heard that the steam version is scuffed, what the best way to play the game that is most faithful to the original expereience?

also, i saw some people mention that this story is set in the "world of darkness", is that a different canon from the ones in bloodlines?

thanks in advance

What's the highest inspection check in the game?

I'm starting a malkavian playthrough. And I was just wondering what the highest inspection check you can make is. I only ask because I don't want to max it out to 10 if I'll never need it to be that high

question about lann

so i noticed that when i use the "extra attack" ki power and shoot with my bow. it still gives me an extra attack even though it says explicitely that it only grants an additional unarmed strike. im assuming that because of "flurry of blows" every attack that is listed as an unarmed attack is then coverted into a ranged bow attack for the purposes of the ability. so the. if i take this feat "stunning fist", which says that it only applies to unarmed attacks. will the same transference happen, and my ranged attacks will then be counted as unarmed? allowing me to stun targets from range?

any clarification on this would be great.

thank you in advance

clarification on "heighten spell" feat

so when it says that it casts the spell as though it were a higher level spell. does that mean that it uses up a slot from its base level or its heightened level. ex: if i use a 1st level spell and apply heightened spell. will i use a 1st or 2nd level spell slot? also, what is the limit to the levels which i can heighten the spell by? can i heighten a 1st level spell to 3rd level for example.

and what exactly does it mean by "the heightened spell is as difficult to cast as a spell of its effective level.

also, does this feat have a limited amount of uses per day or can i use it whenever.

thank you in advance

I just got told that demons are about to attack the tavern and that I should go talk to irabeth. I actually haven't stepped out of the tavern as I've been respecting my characters which caused a lot of in game time to pass. Does beginning this battle lock me out from doing any of the quests I've been given, and can I just delay it until I've finished all those quests?

According to this origin trait. I should receive an additional+1 enhancement bonus to weapons which my class is already proficient in. I'm playing a tortured crusader paladin, and I start with proficiency in martial weapons. But when I equip a greatsword I don't don't receive the enhancement bonus? Why is this?

It's my first playthrough and I just got past hosilla, however, Camilla died during the fight and I resurrected her using a scale. But now it now say she has a permanent penalty to her character level, so she can't actually cast many spells which make her useful. Is there really no way to reverse this? If not, is it even worth it to keep going or should I just reset to before the fight and do it again. She died to a random CRIT which I feel like is something I can't really control

I just escaped the maze and met with irabeth, how much longer until I can respec my character? I'm currently playing a titan fighter and I don't enjoy how similar they feel to seelah. I'm playing on hard and I want a character who fills a more unique role in the party.

Thanks in advance

i have a logitech pro X headset and i lost the original m to m 3.5mm cable. i bought a replacement chord. and it seems that the plastic part of the wire at the base of the aux is too thick to fit into the headsets audio port. it seems like its designed in such a way that it only works with the original wire it comes with, so that losing the wire means buting another headset for a replacement chord. is there anyway to fix this? i was thinking of just trying to precisely cut the base to think it down so that it will fit. but is that recommended? if so does anybody have any guides on how to do this well and safely?
