Tekoshet The Ethiopian

Bronze statue of Tekoshet the Ethiopian. 25th Dynasty. Height: 0.69 m. National Museum, Athens. Tekoshet (also Takushit) was a priestess/princess of Libyan descent. Inscriptions identify her as the daughter of Akanosh II, a regional leader in the Nile Delta during the reign of the Kushite kings.
