Please let us que specific dungeons

Sometimes I want to finish a zone and do the associated dungeon, but I can't que specific to do that. Sometimes I just want a break from the same dungeon a million times too.

Also the frequency to which I get the same dungeon 5 times in a row is also strange, and something is definitely wrong with the way it picks a "random dungeon". I notice if I re-que with the same group my odds of getting the same dungeon we just did is nearly 100% as well.

The ability to que specific was originally removed to stop people in I think season 8 or 9 from chain queing marudon to level super fast.

In season 10 everyone just spams manastorms so that is not a concern(and it's faster than marudon spam was), so I think the ability to que specific can be added back without worry.

Did an insane asylum get closed down or what is going on with people on here recently?

Anyone else having the worst week on Ascension ever?

I was leveling on CoA and did a bunch of quests with this guy. When we went to turn them in he left group so I added him back and said "hey could you stay in the group for a sec so I can turn in with aura"(he happened to have exp aura on) and he lost his mind. He left group then sent me several profane messages that were nonsensical then he ignored me.

On darkmoon I was just sitting in Azar Faire basically AFK and this guy came up and started flaming me and /spitting so I tried asking him "Did I do something?" but he had already blocked me. Then a different guy did similar to me later, but I think that is because I got first place in the racing game.

I was doing a BG and I asked a team mate "What is that purple spell you keep firing at them" since I had never seen it before. He then sent me about a dozen messages most of which were random insults then said "I AM NEVER TELLING SOMEONE LIKE YOU THE NAME OF MY SPELL". He then followed me around the BG emoting at me. Okay then my bad!

Then later(on a different toon) I try doing manastorms. Several groups fell apart usually because the leader was fighting with someone for no reason. I had one bug out where I was tanking so I said "leave and reform" but the leader crashed out on me and said "YOU KILLED MY MANASTORMS FCK YOUUUU" then blocked me.

Then I try doing some world boss and some people are not understanding the mechanics despite having them explained. Someone tries DMing them but they find they are ignored. Several people in the raid had like half the raid on ignore in advance and none of them would explain why or remove the ignore. The raid fell apart without this ever being explained.

I have played on Ascension for 7 years and I have never had close to this level of mental illness from people. Feels like I can't do anything especially on darkmoon without someone insane losing ti.

Honestly it is actually adding to the fun in a twisted way, I never know what sort of drama is going to appear out of nowhere. Still leaves me scratching my head though.

Season 10 feels a lot worse than season 9

Anyone else disappointed with the season 10 build options? Playing on darkmoon (wildcard) for context.

Fun specs like warden of demon reach, arcane crusader, and son of gruul are just gone along with many others.

Some of the fun procs that would be great with the new elemental skills are also gone. Stuff like battlemage would have been cool with the new elemental warrior spells, and things like that special eviscerate that does a mini-starfall are gone too.

I know in season 9 a lot of these ended up being on every build, but with the reduced number of talents that would not be the case in season 10.

Since we can't use blue/green mystic enchants we have less control over our build, and it's harder to get hit capped among other things. Feels bad to lose these.

The COA spells are cool, but there is no way to buff most of them. I think a lot of them need a talent to go along with them so you can invest in actually using them.

I was expecting season 9 with even more ways to build but instead we have even less than area 52. Just feels so nerfed.

40 gallon lake tanganyika options

I have a 40 gallon breeder I am wanting to put tanganyikan cichlids in.

Is it possible to have 3 species in a tank this size?

Like could I do Neolamprologus gracilis, gold ocellatus shell dweller, and one of the smaller Juliechromis species like Ornatus or dickfeldi?

Or do I need to stick with one shell dweller+ one other species?

Why the hostility surrounding exp rates?

Every time a new server is launching the exp rate debate begins.

The 1x exp rate side is far more adamant than the side who wants faster exp. If the exp rate is above 1x there being an option to set it back to 1x(most servers I have played let you do this) does not satisfy them either. It has to be 1x for everyone or they hate it.

For a recent example Ascension's bronzebeard server had a poll at launch about exp rates. Higher exp rate won in the polls but the crowd who wanted lower exp got so outraged Ascension didn't raise the rates citing "We believe the side that wants higher exp will still play even if we don't follow the poll whereas the lower exp rate people will quit if we raise it".

You can see this right now with CoA, there are people spamming the discord begging Ascension not to raise the exp rates, why would they care so much? They aren't even playing they are just fighting for a lower exp rate.

I just find it so perplexing but every server I have played had this happen on some level. I personally don't care what rate people choose to level at, and I can't imagine being mad about it especially when the option to lower it exists.

Please don't give COA the bronzebeard exp rate

With bronzebeard in the polls a higher exp rate won but the people who wanted it lower freaked out so bad that ascension went against the polls and lowered it back.

I hear the same thing has happened with CoA and the rate will be like bronzebeard.

This is a bad idea for a few reasons. First there will be a lot of people playing a class for the first time, if they spend 6 hours on it to find out they don't like it they are probably just going to quit instead of gambling on trying another class.

Second COA is set to have an obscene number of players at launch. This will mean low level zones are going to be totally bogged down(happened with bronzebeard and it sucked). Higher exp rate means you can skip some quests if you need to more easily and it will make the player base spread out to the higher zones more quickly.

At the very least levels 1-20 should be boosted.

Plus if you don't like the higher rate there is a challenge that makes it x1. So you get to play 1x and you get bonus rewards for doing so if that pleases you.

Steroids effect on balls

The worst thing I have learned since getting into fitness is how common roiding is. Way more guys do it than you expect. Which sucks because a lot of natural guys are chasing after bodies that are "cheating" and they have no idea(especially young guys). So they are left confused why their muscles aren't getting huge at the same pace as another man(who is roiding).

However even worse(for me) is how small it makes their balls. How many big beautiful pairs of lemons have been turned into little raisons because of this? When a guy with a great body takes his clothes off and his balls are just missing I cry. Long term use makes the balls so small you can barely see them, a lot of guys in p*rn are like that.

I follow some fitness guys who roid and they are so flippant about it too. They are like "it will shrink your balls but who cares about balls" as I sit in the corner meekly raising my hand "I care".

Also though a lot of women actually do care more than they think, but that is another discussion.

Anyway if a genie is reading this please make roids increase the size of balls instead. Thank you.

Any keeping a list of all the lies from TPUSA?

Has anyone been keeping a list of all the lies and inconsistencies? It's like 200 things long at this point, and I would love to start keeping track better. Surely someone is keeping a list of some kind and if so I would love to read it!

Edit: I meant to title it "anyone keeping a list" whoops

You know they don't always need to have met a long time ago

To any OI authors reading this, you know the main couple don't need a decades long history together right? It is okay for their first time meeting to be when the main plot begins.

It feels like every story gets a reveal at some point like "oh the girl I played with as a toddler was you!". Even when the FL is from another world they still might try to make this trope happen with a "I knew you in a past life" type scenario or even "actually I was from this world all along and the little girl you knew was me!" ugh.

Is it not okay to fall in love with someone you met for the first time as an adult? This trope doesn't usually effect the story much(often just popping up at the end), but it's so common that I can't help but notice it.

It does cheapen the romance a bit. The truth isn't that the adult FL charmed the emotionless duke! The real truth is that she met him before he became the cold duke and wormed her way into his heart when he was still an emotional child. If you think too hard about it then it really starts to undermine some of the stories themes.

Like actually his trauma can't be overcome by anything other than someone from his past fixing it, it actually can't be healed in the present if that makes sense.

Anyway I fear I need to hunt down every person from my kindergarten because following OI logic my true love is amongst them.

"prepare for big updates" ????

"The Elune Season 9 realm will close on the 22nd to prepare for big updates."

Is what Grey(one of the GMs) posted on discord.

Are they trolling? I don't want to be cynical ,but are they going to release a new season then bounce with the cash? Are some of the devs going to get screwed in court while the others just run off with the server and keep developing it? I am perplexed to say the least.

Best shell dweller for a non-species tank?

I have a 40 gallon set-up and I want to keep a few of the smaller tanganyikan fish in.

I was curious what shell dweller is best suited for a community tank? I am ordering from Dave's rare fish so it will need to be something he has in stock(he has most of the common ones plus a few lesser known species).

I like the gold ocellatus the best looks-wise, but I can't find much info on keeping them in communities. Really I like all of them so I am open to any shell dweller.

Cynotilapia zebroides temperament

I am curious about this species as I read it is peaceful compared to other Mbuna.

My first question is are the sub-species the same aside from the look? Like is Cynotilapia zebroides "Jalo Reef" the same as Cynotilapia zebroides "Cobwe" just a different collection site and appearance? As in everything I read that applies to Jalo Reef applies to Cobwe as well?

My second question is are they peaceful enough to keep with lake Tanganyikan cichlids? I see people do this with yellow labs and I would love something colorful to keep with my shell dwellers if possible as the Tanganyikan options really are not my taste.

I read they are mostly aggressive to other striped fish which is what got my curious as I have no striped fish.

Thoughts on Conquest of Azeroth

Let me just say I actually like Ascension(generally) and really want this server to be good.

However the direction this project has gone is a bit disappointing.

A lot of the specs used to have alternative ways to play in their tree. For example the caster dps witch doctor one side of the tree was for dinomancer(which is now totally gone please bring it back!) the other was for a spell focused build. A lot of specs had options like that but now most don't. Now you mostly pick based on if you want aoe or single target.

There used to be some talent options(usually at the end of the tree) that changed the spec a lot like making a temporary form permanent or changing your rotation. Talents that would make the way you play a lot different but those are mostly gone too.

A more fundamental issue would be annoying abilities, and this is a real head scratcher for me. Lots of classes have little CDs like 1 min CD increase damage by 15% for 15 seconds type skills which are just not fun. Even worse are "Slice and dice" type upkeep buffs(a ton of classes have these) or stuff like "restore 20% of your mana 45 second CD"(For a dps).

No one wants spells like this especially not on basically every class. Even funnier is a few specs get something like that as their end of tree talent(instead of bladestorm/starfall/chaos bolt you get a slice and dice!).

It kind of feels like they tried to emulate vanilla jank on some classes then let others play like they are from modern wow. One class will play smoothly then another will need to press it's 45 second CD mana restore button to keep doing dps(why even make it run out of mana then?).

I don't like to be such a big hater, but I suspect the devs think this is close to being ready to ship when it really is not in my opinion. I'm usually the one fanboying for ascension on here defending them but guys 😭

▲ 12 r/Guppies

Most fancy guppy breeders I see sell the guppies as trios(1 male 2 female). This means the breeder probably has extra males right?

Or is the opposite true and the male is more valuable so they are trying to hold onto more males? Maybe they cull half the males?

I was going to DM a breeder to see if I could get a deal on an assortment of males is what got me thinking about this.
