I have the Sony Bravia 9 TV along with the Bravia Soundbar 9 and an Apple TV. I’ve had issues where for someone reason, the soundbar somehow loses its connection where it no longer works as a combined pair with the Sony TV as indicate in the Bravia Connect App. When this disconnection occurs, the sound stops going out of the soundbar and instead uses the TV speakers. We watch all our TV through the Apple TV.

I’ve noticed that the only way to get it talking and reconnecting properly with the Sony TV is to disconnect the HDMI cable from my Apple TV. The Bravia Connect App then shows me the option to connect the soundbar with the Sony tv as a pair again which is how it should be all the time. The audio then starts outputting properly to the soundbar.

I’ve tried connecting the soundbar directly to the tv and Apple TV to the Sony TV’s hdmi input and I’ve also tried connecting the Apple TV to the soundbar and then the soundbar to the earc of the TV.

In either case, after some time has passed, the soundbar and Sony tv stop working as a pair forcing me to disconnect the Apple TV HDMI.

I’m going to be moving into our new home this week and wanted to ask everyone here, what is the ideal way of setting this up? What should be connected to what? Are there any settings I’m missing here that could help resolve the issue. I can also confirm that all my HDMI inputs are set to Enhanced Format. So that’s not the issue. I’ve also tried different high quality hdmi cables but still having the same disconnecting issues.

Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated.

I'm going to be moving into a new home and my existing home's Ubiquiti equipment will be sold with my current home so I'm looking to get an entirely new setup.

• 2 x PowerAmps
• 2 x Mini Flex's
• 4 x Smart Hubs (Philips Hue, Hunter Douglas, Home Assistant, Aqara)

Would getting the UDM Pro Max to run Protect and connect to the 24 Pro Max PoE Switch to then use for all my connections be a good way to go? I was hoping to avoid buying a separate NVR and I think the UDM Pro Max should be able to handle all this? Any suggestions are welcomed.

I’m currently using both Alfred and Raycast. I’m a power pack user of Alfred. One thing I love about Raycast is how easy it was for me to create a keyboard snippet that asks me for 3 stock symbols and then sends those 3 symbols along with various AI prompts to get a comparison of the 3 stocks.

I’ve been able to do this quite easily right from within Raycast AI tool with a keyboard snippet. But I have no clue how I could replicate this process in Alfred as I’m not a coder. Raycast seems to be easier at allowing me to simply add arguments and name them where needed to be used in a snippet.

Is there any way of achieving this in Alfred? Is there any AI integration planned or usable in Alfred?

I'm loving Raycast and one of the quicklinks I use is to quickly create a new apple note using "nn" as a quicklink. It works great with one exception, the title of the note is not formatted as a "TITLE" but just regular text. When I used a similar workflow in Alfred, it would properly format the heading/title with the Title text formatting.

Is there any way to do the same in Raycast where any text I add after "nn" will be added as a Title with proper title text formatting and then perhaps a carriage return so that it starts on a new blank line?

I'm looking to have a Smart Door Lock installed but the diameter of the existing hole of my current lock is too small to allow for installation. Looks like I'll need to have someone who knows what they are doing install this for me. Can someone recommend trustworthy locksmith as I've heard some horror stories out there. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Anyone else using wBlock extension in Safari? Love this extension but noticed the bypass paywalls feature is not working despite being enabled in both the extension's settings and user scripts area of the extension. Any suggestions?

I'm running the most recent version of Alfred and I've noticed for the longest time now that my snippets will often stop working even though they are currently enabled in Alfred's preferences/settings. The way I get them to work again is to disable "Automatically expand snippets by keyword" and then immediately re-enabling it.

Anyone know of a permanent solution to this issue?

I recently purchased the Canon Image Class MF753CDWii Colour Laser printer and I'm extremely frustrated by the fact that the Canon MF Scan Utility seems to lose connection to the printer constantly.

I've set the printer up with a fixed IP address. I don't even think Canon have updated printer utilities/drivers that work with Tahoe as when I go to install the utilities from the Canon website, it says this software is not supported on my operating system but may still work. Which begs the question, has anyone been able to resolve these constant disconnecting issues? It's beyond frustrating and I'm ready to throw this thing in the garbage.

I've been getting quotes the past few weeks as we are moving into a new build where we require an A/C + BBQ Gas Line for the rear yard. Does anyone have a trust worthy person I could reach out to for a quote? The prices I'm getting back are all over the map - not sure who to trust nor which unit to go with for the A/C. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyone else notice they when printing an apple note that has bullet point sentences the formatting and indentation of some of the bullets get messed up?

Same thing if I try to save it as a PDF. Any workarounds or fixes for this?

I'm debating between the 2026 Audi Q3 and the 2026 VW Tiguan R-Line Highline Turbo. I'm leaning towards the Tiguan as I do appreciate the extra leg room in the back seats for passengers as it's not uncommon for us to take day trips with friends and family.

However, I have been hearing some nightmare stories about the Turbo. Some having to replace their turbos while others are saying the software update resolves all the issues. I'm also seeing A/C leaks where they have to replace a seal which is becoming more common.

Any feedback/suggestions from existing 2026 Tiguan owners would be appreciated. I'm looking at doing a 3-year lease, short enough term that I'm not married to the vehicle and unlikely to need brakes or tires within that lease term.

I'm looking at dumping my 2024 SQ5 due to the piston skirt issue. These v6 engines are dying all over the place and although Audi has extended the warranty, I've just lost faith in the vehicle and since I own it outright, I"m considering just selling it and then leasing a 2026 VW Tiguan for 36 months.

I think I'm going to proceed with it and just wondering what everyone's take is on the Ascot Gray vs Platinum Gray colour options. I'm going to be going with the grey interior as well. My SQ5 is Daytona Grey which was always my go to colour with Audi but lately I've been feeling like everything just looks dark and grey as my rims are also black.

How is everyone handling their mortgage in quicken when it’s a combine Mortgage/Heloc?

For example, I have a mortgage with TD that has a portion fixed (mortgage) and a portion is revolving (heloc). But if I connect this account using Quicken Connect, I believe it will only update the balance with no transaction ledger available.

This could pose a potential issue because what if I end up using funds from the heloc portion for a home renovation? How would i properly handle or address that in Quicken and how does the mortgage amortization get impacted by all this?

To avoid these issues, what I’ve done is setup a separate manual mortgage account and a separate manual heloc account. It works but then it presents a separate issue when it comes to budgeting. I don’t believe there’s an easy way to include the mortgage payment in the budget without creating a separate mortgage payment category and entering a budgeted amount??

Maybe I’m missing something. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are there any Canadians here who can confirm whether or not automatic Quicken Connect works with CIBC banking in canada to download transactions automatically? We are thinking about switching our banking over to CIBC and I know it sounds petty but we really like the automatic downloads that Quicken Connect offers for supported financial institutions.

For the past few years since starting my new Quicken data file in Mac Classic, I’ve preventing syncing and/or use of Quicken Web because of so many horror stories about corrupt data files.

Is that still a thing? I would really like to check my quicken from time to time on mobile devices like my iPad and iPhone but haven’t been able to because of my reluctance. Any updates on this?

I've started using Simplifi Home & Business and like that I can track all my mileage. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to print out a Mileage Report which lists all the trips taken throughout the year. It's a requirement to keep a Mileage Log on file for audit purposes but without having any way to export/print that data, not sure how useful this is.

Did I miss it somewhere? Any suggestions/feedback would be appreciated.

Is there a clean easy and accurate way of importing all my transaction history from Quicken For Mac to Simplifi? I only have about 3 years worth of data but would like to import the data if possible.

Would I need to have all my categories setup so they match or is there a tool built into Simplifi that will also create the categories upon importing the transactions?

From what I can tell, it seems that most people are manually tracking their outstanding mortgage balances in SImplifi by doing a balance adjustment at the end of each month - is that correct? There's no mortgage amortization capability in Simplifi like there is in Quicken Classic where you can enter the actual terms of your mortgage and it breaks out the payment in principal and interest?

I have a product with TD that combines both a Homeowner Line of Credit and Mortgage. The fixed rate portion is my mortgage and the variable rate portion of this account is my line of credit. I'm assuming there's no way to connect this with Simplifi where the transactions are automatically downloaded for the revolving portion?

I've been using Quicken For Mac (Home & Business) and have contemplated moving to Simplifi Home & Business as it makes it easier to access my data/finances from any device whereas with the classic version, there are typically issues when trying to use Quicken For Web application and potential data corruption.

Would you say that the Home & Business version of Simplifi is nearly at feature parity with Quicken For Mac? Although they keep rolling out updates for the classic versions, you have to wonder how long that will continue before they force everyone to move over to Simplifi.

I'm also a Canadian but I understand that Simplifi now supports canadian institutions for connections etc? Are you still able to manually import Quicken transaction files from our financial institutions if there's one that isn't available through Simplifi?
