Catering my mums wedding after late caterer cancellation. Not sure where else to ask. Can someone please help with my slow cooker scaling? Thanks

I've copy and pasted all my recipes below and yes I have used AI to help me scale them as I just didn't know the correct quantities for such large amounts. I'm experienced with cooking in the slow cooker, but not when scaling up to this sort of level and the 4th one large scale on the hob. Have I scaled them up well? This should all hopefully yield roughly 30 lunch sized portions per recipe if I've scaled up correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

All 4 are being refrigerated, then reheated the next day for the wedding, which will act as the Bake/reheat for everything. I've tried to make these as simple as possible that all I need to do on the day is reheat them in the oven and make the rice for the curry. Thanks for any help.

Partnered gays, do you go on holidays without your partner?

I've noticed a theme from my friends. Many are shocked that we both go on holidays abroad without each other. For example he went Benidorm with a group of friends 2 years ago, and I'm going Poland with a friend in September. This isn't the first abroad holiday I'll be away with a friend either. They always react surprised saying their boyfriend/girlfriend would never allow that or that they would never allow it. But I'm always equally surprised that they don't do the same as we do. We go on holidays together a couple of times a year, but we also like a holiday away with friends too. Are we the weird ones? We figuire that relationships are built upon trust. We can just as easily cheat at home as we can do abroad. And we both acknowledge and appreciate that we need socialising time with friends too.

This surely can't be legal to do? (England)

I was reading some reviews of a takeaway before buying and the owner responding to a review has given out this customers exact address publicly.

28M Halifax looking for long term nearby friends

I've lived in Yorkshire since 2018, but unfortunately just haven't been able to establish a friendship circle yet, so all my friends remain down south.

This World Cup has just really made me realise how much I need to get out the house to spend time with friends instead of being sat at home most nights.

I enjoy watching sports, playing video games, going on hikes, drink down the pub, theme parks, board games, travelling, Cinema, and just generally open minded to try new hobbies and easy going. I also drive, although I'm a new driver and still in that scared new driver phase, lol.

I have a great sense of humour. I love dark humour if that's your thing.

For full transparency, I'm gay. I *am not* here to date, hookup, or anything else. I am happily in an 11+ years long relationship which the mods are more than welcome to look over my post and comments history to verify.

I just want local friends to chill out with instead of being a loner.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Hopefully we can start a new friendship together ☺️

28m bi Halifax looking for male friends

I love football, movies, going for food, theme parks, gaming, hiking, board games and more. Generally open minded to try new things.

In an 11+ years relationship with another guy. Looking mainly for friends only. Idm a little more if you swing that way, but genuine friendship must be the main focus.

Please be relatively nearby. I have a lot of friends, but they're all hundreds of miles away as I'm from down south, so looking for friends who I can actually regularly meet up with at short notice.

Do I have to fully clear my credit card balances first before saving and applying for a mortgage?

I've gone from about £16k credit card debt 18 months ago, to £6k left today and currently steadily on track to only have £3500 left by December. From my understanding, with a total of £18000 available credit, I'll have a very healthy credit utilisation by December. My take home pay is £1950pm. I also have a car payment of £195 monthly as well.

This should give me a debt to income ratio, and a credit utilisation ratio of under 20% by December if I drop my credit card payment down to the contractual minimum (I'm early on in a 30 month interest free period anyway)

I have never had any missed or late payments on any form of credit.

Am I correct in my understanding that my financial position should be rather strong by December, and that I can keep the credit card balance and start saving for a deposit on a house instead of waiting another half a year to finally clear the credit card and then start saving? Or am I better off delaying saving for a deposit by another 6 months until it's finally all cleared?

I'm not sure if it's generally better to wait until it's fully cleared, or if I'm right in my understanding that holding some balance won't be too big of a problem and the sooner I can buy instead of paying rent the better.

If I've got anything wildly wrong, sorry, I am desperately trying to learn and sort my finances out and finally get on the property ladder. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Visiting Krakow for a week this September/October. Any itinerary advice please?

This will be my 4th time to Poland, 1st time to Kraków. I love the country hence why I keep coming back. So friendly and cheap. This is my current itinerary. Arriving midday on Tuesday 29th September and leaving early morning the following tuesday back to the UK.

Here is my itinerary:

Tuesday: Schindler's Enamel Factory.

Wednesday: Auschwiz

Thursday: Day trip to Energylandia.

Friday: Wieliczka Salt Mine (Morning) & Rynek Underground Museum (Afternoon).

Saturday: Shooting Range & Night Out

Sunday: Recovery day & easy stroll around Zakrzówek Park.

Monday: Krakus Mound sunset walk

Auschwiz, Energylandia and going to a shooting range are 100% things we want to do. The rest I'm just going based off what I've researched to be must sees. Are there any you would personally recommend avoiding as they're not as good as they seem? Anything else you would recommend doing instead?

Any help/comments would be very appreciated, thanks. Really looking forward to going back to Poland and getting my favourite beer, Tyskie, on tap again.

Auschwiz is deliberately misspelled because the automated system thinks I'm trying to ask for advice on that, but I'm not. :)

Got diagnosed with lichen sclerosus and my partner doesn't want to play with my dick anymore

It's a chronic skin condition, non contagious, but I must admit it looks bad atm. For months my dick has been extremly itchy, red and patchy white on the shaft, balls and down to my anus. I just can't get the flare up to go away and there's no guarantees it ever will fully go away as it is a life long chronic condition. I don't expect him to be attracted to it at the moment. I'm just feeling a bit sexually frustrated because we haven't done anything at all sexually in months as every time he sees my dick, he goes soft even for just mutual masturbation, so we've just been doing our own thing. Like I say, I don't blame him as it's not his fault as it does look very unappealing, I'm just venting and needed somewhere to throw this frustration.

GP is making my genital symptoms worse.

I am not looking for medical advice. This is a vent only.

I was diagnosed with eczema on my hands a couple of years ago, and this year my penis and groin area has become very itchy. My GP initially diagnosed eczema on my groin area but the eczema creams weren't working after months of use. Now they've decided it may be a fungal infection and I applied the cream yesterday afternoon and last night, and both times a couple of hours after applying my groin area is way more painful and itchy than before I even applied to a point it's 6am and barely slept. This is madness. They haven't even swabbed it to test for what they may think it is, but just guessing. I've had to call 111 for an out of hours GP appointment as this itchiness and pain is driving me crazy and I just want someone competent who can help me. I'm in so much discomfort.

I finally get the hype of Warzone

I've always played almost exclusively S&D ever since the original MW2 days. Warzone just never sparked my interest. Played it for the first ever time last week after being convinced to play COD again as I stopped playing since January as I hate this BO7, and wow, I didn't realise just how much I'd enjoy Warzone! Made me fall in love with COD again.

Heading into the home stretch!

I'm down from a Max of 210lbs in November 2025 to now 180.4lbs today, with another 11 weeks to lose the last 10.4lbs to reach my 170lbs target. I'm a 6ft male.

I'm just so proud of myself. The reason I'm losing weight this time and not all the other attempts is that I'm giving myself time to lose it instead of trying to starve myself and lose it unrealistically quickly.

I aim for about 1800 calories a day, but tbh my average is nearer 2000, but this is offset by an hour a day on a walking pad at 5kmph with a 5% incline, as well as some other home exercises.

My meals are balanced, and as nutritionally complete as reasonably possible and get my 5 a day. I've had my fair share of takeaways in this time too. You don't need to completely cut out every treat and unhealthy meal. You just need to build long-term healthier habits and excercise more.

Hopefully this acts as a big motivation for anyone else. You've got this :)

I know going to pubs, restaurants, and takeaways, the food is regularly reheated. But ignorance is bliss. If I can't see it being reheated, I can fool my brain in to believing it's fresh. But at home, I've never knowingly been able to stomach eating leftovers. But today I just did so for the first time at 28. I controlled every step of the process. From cooking the original food, cooling and storing correctly, and reheating it correctly. This meant I was in full control and knew the food was handled properly staying out of the danger zone for the shortest time possible. I'm so proud of myself for finally doing it.
