Alright, so I'm looking to add a new pair of boots, and I'd like to get something with a rich colored leather and the Redwing 8847 caught my eye first, however they are a bit beyond desired price range, but other than that they are gorgeous. I have Thorogood steel toes now and really like them, so I'm considering the Briar Pitstop 3600s as well, however these only come in a lined waterproof option for some reason and I would really prefer unlined, but I like the leather color. These boots will be worn at work a bit for site walks, in the office and warehouse, and for casual use in fall/winter, so I'm looking to add a non-steel toe, as all my other boots are safety toe. Thoughts? Experiences?

Damn robot shifters got me finally.

So I've had this GX kit since new, however it spent about 18 months in a box after I upgraded my wife. But now I built up a new 26" bike for my kid, and pulled this GX AXS kit out of the box for it. It connected and shifted fine for first couple rides, however today he said it didnt shift a few times through his ride.

So when we got home. I went ahead and got it all connected to the app and updated the firmware on the derailleur and shifter (both with full battery). I sent him out the door to test and he said it wouldn't shift at all...so I go look at it and sure as hell, derailleur wouldn't shift or light up.

So I pulled the battery and cleaned the pin contacts and battery contacts and checked to make sure that the springs were working and returning. I went ahead and rebooted it and popped the battery back in, when it powered up it shifted all the way down to the smallest cog on its out and is now stuck. When I go to shift, either with shifter or manually by the AXS battery, the derailleur doesnt move but you can hear a light clicking inside the mechanism, but doesnt seem like it's making an attempt to shift...cant get it to go either direction. I rebooted it and reinstalled newest firmware again, and same issue.

Derailleur is stuck in smallest cog position and I cant get it to move. AXS light lights up, and can feel/hear a light clicking in internal mechanism, but does not shifter. Neither app nor derailleur are giving any indications of error to correct...

Am I boned? Or what is going on? First time all the normal tricks havent worked...
