If you can't use your tickets for a Ren or Big Push show, be aware that we have some shady people and bots saying they're interested in getting the tickets. I suspect they're re-sellers or scalpers...or just scammy in general. Please be sure to vet anyone who says they're interested in your tickets before interacting with them.
We're trying to keep an eye out for the scammers, but we may miss some. If you want your tickets to go to a Renegade, please keep an eye out for the scammers. You can have a look at people's profiles.
If they have everything hidden and barely have any karma, they're probably a bot...some profiles say they've been there for years but they only have a tiny bit of karma. If they don't have their stuff hidden, have a look through their comments. Scammers will have comments under a lot of different subs saying things like, "OMG! I would love to have the tickets!"
If you have a question about someone, you can message us through modmail and we can check out the person's stats even if they have everything hidden and we may be able to tell if they're legit or not.
One day my husband and I were in Walmart buying laptops for work. This younger girl tapped me on my shoulder asking me where the phone chargers were. I told her I didn't know because I didn't work there. She looked confused.
I opened my leather jacket and said "Look at me." I was wearing that jacket, a Misfits shirt, combat boots, a cat ear headband, and stripey tights under black shorts. I also have sunset colored hair (red, pink, orange and yellow). I'm a 55 year old goth/punk kid. I definitely wasn't wearing a Walmart vest or anything like it.
She looked very embarrassed and walked away. I actually felt bad for her for a minute and didn't wanna laugh until she walked away. I didn't wanna make her feel worse. When she was gone, both my husband and I did laugh. I mean, how? There's no way I looked like I worked there. I had a similar thing happen in a grocery store once. Unlike this younger girl, the older lady was mad at me for not working there. I may look weird, but some people are genuinely weird.
An investigation from Australia’s ABC News found that Meta has been paying self-avowed neo-Nazis to post on Facebook, funneling money to accounts that appeared to clearly violate the platform’s own hate speech policies through its invitation-only “Content Monetization” program. One recipient, Hugo Lennon, a known far-right agitator and white nationalist with ties to neo-Nazi groups, has received Facebook payments since September 2025 despite being a well-documented figure who was previously removed by police for hurling racial abuse at India’s prime minister Narendra Modi at a Melbourne hotel and is believed to have helped organize an anti-immigration march on a sacred Indigenous site last year. The Facebook page for Australian white supremacist site The Noticer has similarly been monetized since November 2025, a fact made more striking given that even X, under Elon Musk, has banned The Noticer for violating its own “hateful profile policy.”
Facebook’s monetization program is lucrative at scale, having paid out nearly $3 billion to 16 million accounts in 2025, though the exact earnings of these specific pages remain unclear, according to data collated by the tech accountability nonprofit What to Fix. What to Fix executive director Victoire Rio argued Meta bears direct responsibility given its financial relationship with these creators, saying “if we consider that Meta is in a direct commercial relationship with its publishers, insofar that they’re paying them royalties and that they have a monetization agreement with them, then you could argue that they are liable for the content that gets produced by their business partner in some ways.” Right-wing extremism researcher Kaz Ross added that the underlying incentive structure rewards exactly this kind of content, noting Meta’s “financial model is to reward content creators who get engagement, and as we know, the best way of getting engagement is to produce rage bait, extremist material, aggravating material.”
The revelations align with Meta’s broader retreat from stricter content moderation, which loosened shortly before President Trump’s second inauguration, particularly around gender identity and immigration, two issues frequently exploited by far-right accounts. Meta hasn’t addressed questions about the specific pages it paid, instead issuing a statement arguing “it is important to distinguish between speech that is offensive and content that could potentially lead to offline violence,” adding that “such speech may be offensive to many, but it is not Meta’s role to police offensiveness.”

I did an experiment just to see what would happen. I manually cross pollinated my orange-red Wax Begonia flowers with my white ones and it worked! Now I have pink flowers popping up! Science is so cool!
I work in one of the seven venues and I'm curious. Several of us crew members would love to see Ren, Prof and the Skinner Brothers come either to the Attucks or the Harrison Opera House. My only concern is there's no place to dance. The NORVA would probably be more appropriate, but the NORVA is not a go because they're Live Nation only now. The people I've mentioned are independent artists.
Either way, how many of you know Ren, Prof and The Skinner Brothers? I love all of them. Eventhough there's nowhere to dance, I think people would still have a good time. What do you think?
The tag says they're Double Red Begonias, but when I looked them up, it says that Double Reds are tuberous. When I repotted these, there are no signs of corms or anything. Just roots. The flowers are also not frilly looking...more like rosettes.
I just wanna know what they really are so I can take care of them properly. I appreciate any answers 🙂

The tag says they're Double Red Begonias, but when I looked them up, it says that Double Reds are tuberous. When I repotted these, there are no signs of corms or anything. Just roots. The flowers are also not frilly looking...more like rosettes.
I cut off as many bad leaves as possible, and deadheaded them. After I let them rest for some days, I will start to remove the remaining bad leaves. I just wanna know what they really are so I can take care of them properly. I appreciate any answers 🙂

Volunteer shaggy Shasta Daisies! I didn't plant them and was very excited to see them pop up! I do live near our Botanical Gardens and I get new plants every year. I think the birds eat there and poop cool seeds in my yard. It's the only explanation I can think of. Does anyone else have new plants suddenly appear like this? Va zone 8b.
