Anyone with AMH Around 1 Have IVF Success? Need Some Hope

I’m 34 with an AMH of 1.0 and have diminished ovarian reserve. After 4 failed IUIs, I’m finally moving to IVF.

My doctor plans to do estrogen priming this cycle, egg retrieval next cycle, and then a frozen embryo transfer. I’m currently taking a prenatal, CoQ10 600 mg, vitamin C, iron, and acai berry. My doctor also suggested DHEA, but I’m still unsure about starting it. I’m also considering weekly acupuncture.

Is there anything else I can do to improve egg quality or maximize my chances? I know egg quantity is mostly determined by ovarian reserve, but I’d love to hear from anyone with a similar AMH who had IVF success. Any advice or success stories would mean a lot. ❤️

AMH 1.0, 34F, Moving to IVF After 4 Failed IUIs – Looking for Success Stories and Advice

I’m 34 years old with an AMH of 1.0, and after four failed IUIs, my husband and I are moving on to IVF. I have diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), but other than that, all of my testing has been normal.
My reproductive endocrinologist plans to do:
Cycle 1: Estrogen priming
Cycle 2: Egg retrieval
Cycle 3: Frozen embryo transfer (FET), assuming we have embryos to transfer

This is all very new to me, and honestly, I’m feeling anxious about what to expect.
Right now I’m taking:

Thorne Prenatal
CoQ10 600 mg daily
Vitamin C 1000 mg
Ferrous sulfate 350 mg (for low hemoglobin)
Omega 3 with dha and epa
Acai berry 1200 mg daily

My doctor also suggested DHEA 50 mg but said it’s the least important supplement. I haven’t started it because I’ve read mixed opinions online and that it should be used with caution.

I’m also thinking about doing acupuncture once a week.

Is there anything else I can do to improve egg quality or maximize my chances? I know egg quantity is mostly determined by ovarian reserve, but I’d love to hear from anyone with a similar AMH who had IVF success. Any advice or success stories would mean a lot. ❤️

4th IUI negative on 11 dpiui

Feeling devastated after my 4th IUI failure and need some support.

Everything looked perfect this cycle — two mature follicles (23mm and 20mm), uterine lining at 10.7mm, and a post-wash sperm count of 46 million. By every measure, this was our strongest cycle yet.

I tested this morning with FRER at DPO 11 and got a negative. My heart is broken.

This has been an incredibly difficult journey — physically, emotionally, and mentally. I’ve gained nearly 10 pounds over the past few months from all the medications, and watching friends and relatives have babies while I’m still fighting for mine has been one of the hardest parts.

second IUI cycle

I had a day 12 scan today and there were two mature follicles on left ovary. One was 20 and another one was 23 and uterine lining was 10.7. Is this a good scenario to proceed with IUI ? Also before giving sperm sample on IUI day how long is ideal for husbands to stay abstain ?

IVF vs IUI

34F turning 35 in August. AMH is 1.0 and AFC has ranged from 6–10. Tubes are open, husband’s post-wash count for IUI was 15 million, and all other testing has been normal.

I’ve had 3 failed IUIs total (2 in late 2024 and 1 recently in May 2026). My most recent IUI was with Letrozole 5 mg and resulted in one mature follicle.

My fertility clinic is leaving the decision up to me: either proceed with another IUI this cycle or move directly to IVF. They are comfortable with either option.

For those with similar numbers (AMH around 1, AFC 6–10, age 34), would you have done another IUI or moved directly to IVF? Do you regret either decision?

Additionally I am planning to vitamin D and vitamin b12 testing tomorrow to get their level tested and also planning to start acupuncture this week.

Would appreciate hearing your experiences and reasoning.
