Spain and Portugal report

I know this is a UK sub but we've just done a road trip through north Spain and Portugal. To reassure others, charging was fine. We mostly found CCS sites and used one Type 2 in a shopping centre while we walked round Bilbao. One of our hotels had chargers although we didn't use that one.

Electroverse worked about half of the time it said it would :/ but all sites accepted our Monzo debit card without needing a signup or app. The main networks we saw in Spain are Iberdrola, Mueve and Zunder.

Along the motorways, some of the sites were right next to the junctions like UK services. Others were a few km detour to a petrol station on the bypassed road (similar to Shell sites in the UK).

Paredes de Coura, Portugal

Hi, going to this in a few weeks. Does anyone know:

How big is the festival - 10k or 100k people?

Is it allowed to walk into the town once you have entered the festival site?

Obrigado!

Visitor parking for trades

If you live in a parking zone, do you get visitor permits for tradespeople in vans, or do the wardens have an unofficial rule to not touch vans which are doing a job?

Richmond Park pub / taproom

Been to Richmond Park loads but never at beer o'clock. Are there any good pubs / taprooms nearby - particularly on the Richmond, Roehampton, Putney sides?

Speedbird Collection - instagram

Not mine but this is an interesting account on Instagram - lots of BA timetables, menus and crew manuals from back in the day.

Country pubs rated

With the bank holiday coming up, I wanted to rate some pubs within walking or cycling distance of Tonbridge. Add yours or argue in the comments...

Greyhound at Charcott. Always a good range of beers here. Often busy despite being out in the sticks. Haven't tried the food recently. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Dovecote at Capel. In my mind this is a country cousin to the Nelson Arms. Morris dancers visit regularly. There is a garden but it's boxed in by the layout. 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Swan at West Peckham. Community run and has local ales. Nice spot on the village green, especially with cricket in play. 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Bell at Golden Green. Lively and has a good range of events. Beer options are limited. 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Plough at Leigh. Large garden, food is ok. Greyhound better in this area. 🍺🍺🍺
