Hello all otrb frens and hoomans! Yesterday was a hectic day over at r/icbgc (offshoot of r/legalcatadvice), as it took the whole community to raise up their voices to actually help free two of our frens (Kahleesi and Penny) who were illegally surrendered to a human society in Nebraska while their owner has been having a medical emergency. It took almost the whole day, but they were finally released to an angel Redditor who is now fostering them until the owner can take them back. ♥️

We’re now on a mission to find their sister, Pixie, whom we suspect was adopted late last week.

Niko and frens have asked for all the pawsitive vibes and good thoughts from all of our frens, even over here otrb.

If you have a chance, tstop by and share your best scream and loud faces! Let’s bring some rainbows to show our support. 🌈🌈

There are also two additional sisters, Beastie and Scooby/Scoody who are currently MIA and are not at the shelter. This will be harder to figure out, but no one is giving up.

Hi frens and friends! Teddy teh Floof and LBC (yes, Little Black Cat) momma here!

Based on the positive response on this post from a few days ago, we're going to try out the monthly birthday and gotcha day recognition posts starting in June. In order to do that though, we do need your help!

There is a super cool form that should only take you a few moments to fill out, which is linked here. No login is required, and we are not collecting email addresses or anything. Section 1 is just an intro and hello. Click Next to access section 2.

Section 2 is for all the fren info, like name and dates. If you live with more than one fren, enter each fren info separately. If you answer yes to the last question, "do you live with other frens?" it'll automatically take you back to the questions where you can enter the name for fren 2, and then repeat for fren 3, 4, 5, etc. Answer no once all frens are entered in to continue to next section.

Final section is for all the boring hooman stuffs, like reddit username, and thoughts about other things to celebrate. Reddit username is not required, but it's helpful so we can tag you in the monthly post.

Once you submit the form, you're all set!

Alas being human means I can never achieve perfection like Teddy teh Floof and LBC (yes, Little Black Cat), so if you come across any issues, please post them here. Don't be shy if you have any general questions about this, post them here as well!

We also ask that we keep this test here in ICBGC for now so we can test it out with a smaller group of frens than what our beloved LCA contains.

Thank you all for being so friendly, creative, funny, and kind. You all never fail to make me laugh with our overlord mischief, and I adore all the amazing posts. It's so wonderful to have a bright spot in the corner of the internet when there's so much uncertainty out there.

8pm (Eastern): 63 frens and counting! This has surpassed my expectations for only having the form out for 8 hours or so. You all are awesome!

More suggestions:

• Anniversary of SSOR founding - Prof Smuffi definitely started a revolution!!
• Respek the borthole day - Definitely overlooked and needed to protek all bortholes everywhere!

Additional samples of suggestions for other celebrations to consider (the witty commentary after the suggestion is totally all Teddy's momma's thoughts and no way reflects what the submitter may have been thinking about):

• Cat weddings/relationship milestones - Are there some cat couples on here that have been married longer than I have been? Yes, yes there are LOL
• KIngsday - birthday of the king of Netherlands (I believe?) - Since orange is the national color, Mochi and the orange crew should just claim it as their day!
• Any other national holidays - I agree! It'd be fun to learn about other holidays since we have frens all over the world!
• January 1 Skwirl (non) appreciation day - I think we could tie this one in with the capture of Gary LOL
• Cats' Rights day - Obviously as voted on by our esteemed overlord council of cats. Every day is technically that, but I'm sure they could be purrsuaded to pick a specific date as the milestone marker.
• Steve's birthday - Oscar's beloved Dream Phone boyfriend's birthday!! This is hilarious! Anyone know when his birthday is? How fun would it be if we could track down the actor/model for Steve?

12:45pm (Eastern) update: Close to 20 friends now! Alleviated some challenges thanks to u/Charivari8 mentioning about the multi fren entry not working as expected. Also added a question about otrb (over the rainbow bridge) to remember those who have left us (thank you for the suggestion u/CharmyLah !)

It shouldn't ask you to, but if you're made to sign into Goggle, rest assured that information is not being collected. I verified all the settings to confirm emails addresses are not being tracked or anything, and they're definitely not visible on the responses.

Like many things in life, it's a work in progress, and thank you for your patience 😄 Feel free to point out any other challenges you may come across, and don't forget you can leave feedback in the hooman only section of the form with other ideas.

Sample of suggestions so far:

• Capture of Gary - Hilarious, and I feel like this will be a worldwide holiday when that happens!
• St. Gertrude's Day (March 17) - Patron saint of cats?! LOVE THIS!!
• Subreddit birthday/anniversary - so we can commemorate all our fun and look back on some of the best and funniest posts.

11ish Eastern: One hour in and we already have 6 frens who filled out the form! Woohoo!

We are also equally split 33/33/33% on recognizing hooman birthdays! Love it! 🤣

Of course I cannot post without an adorable picture of Teddy. He's currently napping after all of the dancing yesterday!

Hello hoomans of our beloved feline (and feline running software) overlords! Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Any thoughts about having a monthly list or calendar with fren’s birthdays and gotcha days?

I feel like we could do a big post at the beginning of each month celebrating. I love the individual posts, but with us all spread throughout the world, some posts naturally get more traction than others. Or, the worst is when hoomans go on vacation and miss so much fun! Having a central monthly post might help those of us who have FOMO (fear of missing out).

We could make it optional for participation, and the little bit of info we’d need could be entered into a google form by each user. I’d be willing to set that up if we think it might be something fun.

Just thinking about it so thought I would see what the community thinks. ❤️💙🩵
