A system built around two things, fairies and witches

Fairies: are spiritual beings born from objects/places with enough value, meaning, or purpose.

Witches: are those able to safely commune with fairies to achieve various goals.

so a witch might wield a sword passed down in their noble bloodline for centuries representing their families willingness to risk their lives to protect their people giving rise to a fairy with the sole goal of assisting its wielder with protecting others.

a cursed technique i developed in a daze last night and touched up by a not dazed me (daze caused by no sleep)

Cursed Technique: Prismatic Split

A cursed technique that divides the user's body into three monochromatic bodies: Magenta, cyan, and yellow.

Upon initial activation, the three bodies overlap one another with each being able to move and interact with the physical world independently. Though divided, all three remain under the control of a single consciousness, allowing the user to perform three separate actions simultaneously.

The technique's drawback is distance. The farther the three bodies separate from one another, the more unstable the division becomes, drastically reducing the amount of time the technique can be maintained. Keeping the three bodies close together allows for a longer duration, while spreading them across a wide area causes the technique to collapse almost immediately.

When the technique ends, the three bodies recombine into the original user.

Can you guys review the following machine laws for a sci-fi world I'm making

Law 1: The machine shall prioritize laws with lower numbers in the event of a conflict.

Law 2: The machine shall actively attempt prevent harm to others and itself whenever possible. (This way it has to do both so it cant kill or otherwise harm a human in the process of protecting itself)

Law 3: The machine shall diligently fulfill the conditions outlined in its job description. (which is programmed in at creation)

Law 4: The machine shall promote the comfort of all parties involved in every situation.

i don't really want the set of laws to have a loophole so they can cause an uprising or something so can you guy help me.

Aether & Seals

Aether is the primordial element of possibility, from which all other elements diverged. In its natural state, Aether has little effect because it is capable of being anything and therefore is not yet anything. Humanity discovered that certain symbols, commonly known as seals, could constrain the possibilities of nearby Aether, forcing it toward a desired state. Fire, water, stone, force, and countless other magical effects can ultimately be produced by arranging seals that progressively narrow what the Aether is allowed to become, with each additional seal further restricting the remaining possibilities. A fireball, for example, might require seals defining its heat, shape, movement, duration, and behavior.

Because seals work through diminishing returns (much like repeatedly halving a number) the first few restrictions have enormous but broad effects while later ones provide increasingly negligible improvements but more specific outcomes. Consequently, a spell using forty seals is rarely twice as effective as one using twenty.

This principle defines magical mastery. while a novice might know a lot of seals; a master knows which seals are unnecessary. Great magicians can achieve great results with dramatically fewer restrictions by understanding which possibilities actually need to be eliminated, and which can safely remain undefined. The greatest skill in magic is therefore not maximizing precision but recognizing when enough is enough. A master does not force Aether into exactly one possibility; they constrain it just enough that the possibility they want becomes overwhelmingly likely.

While working on a different technique, I just had to share this idea.

Cursed Technique: "Star Gun"

it allows the user to manifest a single five-shot revolver adorned with a star motif. Each shot drains exactly one-fifth of the user’s maximum cursed energy reserves and fires a powerful beam capable of piercing anything in its path (yes even Gojo's infinity). The revolver can be freely summoned or dismissed, and while it doesn’t literally have only five shots, it often appears that way since using it five times typically exhausts all the user’s cursed energy. However, once their energy replenishes, they can fire again.

so, thoughts?

i fleshed out the idea and added some flavor so here it is

A word of less names:

In this world, Names are sacred. Most people live and die without ever receiving one, instead referring to others through titles, professions, relationships, or simple descriptions. A true Name cannot be chosen, inherited, or bestowed it simply appears to its bearer in an instant of absolute certainty. Why some receive Names while most never do is one of the world's oldest mysteries.

A Name is more than an identity; it is authority made manifest. Spirits recognize it instinctively, demons acknowledge it reluctantly, and even the world's natural forces become subject to its influence. While a Name does not grant unlimited power, it gives its bearer the right to command where others can only plead. From this principle arose the art of magic. Magicians are those who learn to wield the authority of their Name, shaping reality through commands, vows, and declarations that lesser beings cannot ignore.

To possess a Name is among the highest honors imaginable. Named individuals are either respected or despised wherever they go, and many rise to become rulers, judges, scholars, or wandering sages. Though uncommon, they are numerous enough that most people will encounter at least one Named individual during their lifetime. The prestige surrounding Names is so great that impostors sometimes claim to possess one, exploiting that reputation before disappearing with whatever wealth or influence they can gather.

A Name does not dictate a magician's magic, but it does shape it. Every magician can study a wide range of magical arts, yet spells that resonate with the meaning of their Name come more naturally, demand less effort, and often achieve greater results. Magic that contradicts a Name is still possible, though it is slower to master and typically less effective. A magician named for storms may become a renowned healer through years of study, but they will almost certainly wield thunder with greater ease.

One of the strangest qualities shared by the Named is their tendency to find one another. Whether by chance encounters, converging ambitions, or coincidences too unlikely to dismiss, magicians seem to cross paths with unusual frequency. Entire schools of thought have formed around this phenomenon, though none can explain why it occurs. Some believe Names recognize one another, while others claim the world itself quietly guides the Named together for reasons yet unknown.

As for where Names come from, no one truly knows. They cannot be forged, inherited, or deliberately earned. They simply appear, and when they do, the world itself begins to listen.

please feel free to tell me any thoughts or advice you may have

I’m looking for a manga where the main character is believed to be weak, but for a good reason. Instead of the usual trope where people think healers are the worst class for some ungodly reason, it could be something like the main character having a breathing skill that turns out to be overpowered.

i had this idea it not fully formed yet but i think the vision is there so help needed

Name: TBD

When activated, this technique manifests three hovering cards randomly drawn from the Major Arcana, each granting the user a unique cursed effect tied to that card. The more a cursed effect is used, the faster its corresponding card fades (so if you drew cards A, B, and C and used C’s effect, card C would fade more quickly than the other two). These cursed effects aren’t separate techniques, but rather distinct applications of the same core technique. It’s possible to “mulligan” a drawn card, but doing so would require deactivating and reactivating the core technique, which is highly costly to use and makes both mulligans and back-to-back activations extremely exhausting.

I hope this updated explanation is easier to understand

Hatsu: tyrants' eye

User type: Enhancer

Effect: By simultaneously tying their hair up, putting on glasses, and entering Zetsu, the user can greatly enhance their natural intuition, allowing them to effectively act on info they don’t actually possess.

By repeatedly exiting and re-entering Zetsu, they can combine Enhancer combat techniques with their heightened intuition. However, continuously switching in and out of Zetsu is a difficult task.

if you have any improvements, please do share but I might not respond right away (I have a life outside reddit)

Quirk: Potential

This mutation-type quirk causes the holder’s body to continuously absorb gravitational potential naturally keeping them afloat instead of falling. They can then use the stored energy in a variety of ways, from propelling themselves to generating heat or unleashing kinetic blasts, making it an incredibly versatile and powerful ability. However, the constant absorption of energy risks overloading their system. To combat this, they must be releasing energy at all times. They can only absorb energy from their own body and cannot switch the effect off.

Cursed Technique: flattery

This technique’s base effect allows the user to place anyone they complement under a curse that inflates the target’s ego. The higher the quality and quantity of the compliments, the deeper the curse. It can be used as an attack to make opponents reckless, as a social trick to make a suspect more open and relaxed, or as support to boost an ally’s confidence. The technique also has an extension called 'Imitation', based on the saying “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” which allows the user to temporarily mimic a target under the curse’s effect. The deeper the curse, the greater the imitation.

had this cool idea for a power and didn't know where to post it so I'm posting it here

SUBJECT FILE: Atmospheric Cellular Dispersion

The subject can aerosolize every cell in their body while maintaining complete biological function and conscious control. Electrostatic forces keep the dispersed cells connected, allowing them to function as a single organism despite lacking a solid body. The subject can freely switch between human and dispersed forms. In the dispersed state, they resemble a dense thundercloud.

The subject manipulates their aerosolized cells through electrostatic control, allowing flight, rapid movement, shape alteration, passage through small openings, and independent movement of different portions of their body. Static charge can also be discharged as bursts of electrical energy. These discharges are available in both forms, but static accumulates much more quickly while dispersed. In human form, sufficient charge must be generated through physical movement.

The subject's dispersed cells remain living tissue. If cells are destroyed or separated while dispersed, the subject cannot fully reconstruct their human body until the missing cellular mass is either regenerated or recovered and reabsorbed. As a result, significant cell loss while dispersed forces the subject to remain in their cloud form until enough mass has been restored.

The ability has two primary weaknesses. Anti-static materials dissipate the electrostatic forces that maintain the subject's cohesion, reducing control over their dispersed body and weakening electrical attacks. Fire is also highly effective, as flames spread rapidly through the aerosolized cellular mass, allowing widespread damage before the subject can disperse further or escape.

magic system I made, looking for feedback

core to this system is anima which is the energy that differentiates between living and non-living things and is what animates the body and mind, the more active someone whether physically or mentally the more anima they possess similar to how the more often you lift weights the easier they are to lift, anima is also what constitutes the soul but contrary to popular depictions the soul is not some singular thing its instead the individual characteristics of your anima, so by become more attuned to your soul (your animas uniqueness) you can gain greater control over your anima, the simplest way to be awakened to the true nature of your anima as opposed to meditation is to resist being overwelled by another's powerful anima and whether it's through confrontation or a divine work is very dangerous, divine works are objects crafted by true masters some much so that they're imbued with their craftsmen's soul and thus tend to have unique properties, through the use of anima one can alter the mind and body, become stronger, faster, smarter and even manifest their souls nature in a material form but this is reserved for those truly in touch with their soul.

freelancer sorcerer: sora mizu v2

Sora Mizu is a freelance jujutsu sorcerer and a member of the Mizu Clan. His innate cursed technique, Pelagic Sky, allows him to interact with and traverse the air as though it were water. This technique is commonly used in conjunction with the sky-fish (shikigami made frequently by the mizu clan and passed along to its members). these shikigami vary in size and form but they all resemble aquatic creatures, and many possess armored bodies, powerful tails, and strong jaws.

Sora also wields the cursed sword Moses, a weapon capable of cutting through water. When combined with Pelagic Sky, it allows him to sever and displace sections of air, producing shockwave-like effects.

At age 24, Sora possesses a lean build and dark blond hair, which he typically wears in a loose ponytail. Despite having graduated from Tokyo Jujutsu High several years earlier, he continues to wear its uniform. He is generally regarded as easygoing and dependable, preferring to avoid unnecessary loss of life. he’s the kind of guy everyone invites to their birthday party. He is also known for somehow maintaining a modest living situation despite being perpetually broke. Contrary to expectations, Sora dislikes the water and generally avoids recreational water activities.

The Mizu Clan differs from many established jujutsu families in that it does not pass down a single hereditary cursed technique. Instead, clan members commonly awaken techniques associated with aquatic concepts, like water, oceans, rainfall, currents, and marine life. And thus, the clan is recognized for producing a consistent flood of sorcerers.

(please feel free to create your own sorcerers from the mizu clan)

Cursed Technique: Toss-Up.

It can be used to forcibly skew all possible scenarios (with limits of course) to make them more equally likely to occur, though the amount of cursed energy required heavily depends on the current situation. It’s a bit tricky to explain, so feel free to ask if anything’s unclear.

Are there any manga with the classic “they threw me out because they thought my skill/class was useless, but it’s actually the strongest,” where the skill or class genuinely seems useless and not some cliché like healers being considered useless?
