Fall cover crop zone 6b
I’m new to the subject of cover crops. I recently started a vegetable garden as had mixed results mainly because of sandy poor nutrient soil. What is a good cover crop to plant in September or October? I been reading about buckweed and winter rye and clover crops but was wondering what has worked the best

Tobacco Hornworms!!!
On the positive side the birds love them! Put 5 in the feeder and they were gone in minutes!

Just the beginning!!
Any suggestions on host plants? I have lots of nectar plants all season long. I’m planting 14 milkweed. I have pussy toes and a black cherry tree. What else can I do here in Connecticut

How long till they bloom?
I’m working on creating a butterfly garden. I just planted some milkweed. I have butterfly weed, swamp, and whorled milkweed. They are small 3 inch plugs. Will it be years till they bloom?

Beginning
I am in the process of starting a butterfly garden. What has worked for you? Should I start with host plants or nectar plants or both? I have 150 square feet to work with. I expanding a garden that already has lots of nectar flowers, annuals(zinnas cosmos queens Anne’s lace), dahlias, herbs, bulbs( blazing stars allium) etc I’m in zone 6b Connecticut I have a few butterflies now seen in the pics but not many.

Is this cats ear clipped?
Recently spotted this kitten. Very shy and hungry. Caught some pics on the trail camera. I’m wondering if it’s a tnr because of the ear.
