After seeing Gamersnexus jay2cents and so on there is something I found interesting

Of those of you who lost your 9800x3d CPUs would you be able to say if :

Motherboard brand and bios

Was it installed with stock socket or did you have a contact frame

How long after installation did it happen and what did you have as symptoms

As someone not only neurodivergent but that also makes a living fixing electronics I’ve had all the mainstream handheld pcs

First ally was a good idea but needed a lot of work to be portable made lots of tutorials for people at the time from the joysticks to the spring tension on them etc etc

Had then a legion 1 2 months after release that had dead WiFi card and nvme bought locally very cheap fixed it guy voided warranty by opening it and decided to just sell on (UK) loved the screen but all games I ran on ally I could run smoothly on the lego so sold it on

Had the ally x that had dead right fan and joystick modules loved it better battery life and played well what I tried but got bored as still slow bad battery sold it on

Last week saw a legion go 2 z2 e 32gb ram with no nvme and overheating for 30% of the usual cost tested it got it home and sorted it

Been using it daily since and wow love the display battery actually lasts and doesn’t just throttle as soon as it’s of the charger

Been playing everything with no issues even Diablo 4 runs at high settings on 1600-1000 I think can emulate ps3/ps3 so far without issues can finally finish God of war without missing chunks of the background

Looks like I’ll be keeping this one

Now it’s improving joystick tension and finding what other mods I can to do it, need to sort the slight play right controller has don’t like the wobble

Hey so I have a ultra 9 275hx with a 5090 I wanted to take Liquid Metal out on my 5070ti Helios Neo I added ptm7090 and it raised by 10c max temps and it would go up on temp very quickly

So what has been tried and tested so far? I just want to not worry about Liquid Metal as the barrier they use is easily bypassed be any bumps or movement

I have a mother fox that hangs out in our garden, I have a metal bullet case box thing I use to keep lipos and when I need to dispose of them I put them in a salt water bath to empty before taking to the tip

For some reason it keeps tipping that bucked and trying to eat the batteries luckily they are inert and won’t combust even going as far as munching my shed door to get to them

Google has nothing so clueless why it’s so adamant to chew on batteries
