I’ve already started treatment…

First time dealing with mites. I adopted my BCI 2 months ago. She’s deep in blue but was soaking in her water bowl for hours at a time for 3 days straight. I thought it was just to help with shed but I put her in a clean tub to n paper towels just in case. I found a few of these. None were moving but in assuming these are snake mites right? She has no signs of infestation around her eyes, mouth or vent. Her spotty coloring makes is hard to tell on her body. I’ve got her in quarantine, doing by weekly diluted nix baths (for 6 weeks right?) and am about to start the deep clean of her enclosure. Just wanted to make sure these are mites before I take all that time and effort.

Just pre-ordered the Revv1 Evo!

I’m super excited. I can’t wait until the end of September. This will be my primary commuter year round. Seems like the best of both worlds between the FS and DRT, with the new semi-solid battery. I hope Ride1up is understanding with the new battery and controller / display since those all seem to be new with the Evo. Has anyone heard reviews on this battery type?

Luthien taking a bath in her new enrichment area.

My wife just put it together today. Didn’t expect her to go right to the water!

Forgive me Boas, I went against nearly everyone of your advice…

Hear me out! I bought the enclosure and adopted the Columbian Red tail anyways. She’s my dream snake, I’ve always want a docile but exploratory big snake.

I converted the bird enclosure into a water-tight enclosure. I also breed emerald tree skinks. I’ve made 3 bioactive enclosures all with multi year success. My plan is to keep my girl Luthien in this enclosure 1-2 years tops. It is 5 ft wide and 6 fr tall. She is 2 years old, 4.5 ft, 3.5 pounds. Once she outgrows it I’m going to make her enclosure a 2nd Stinky Skinky breeding setup. I’ll then make my girl the Rivendell she deserves. Promise.

Would this enclosure be appropriate size for a red tail boa? 6 ft tall, 4.5 ft wide and 3.5 ft deep.

I would seal all the corners and wood to make it water proof and of course add all appropriate enclosure needs. I’ve made enclosures for a ball python and emerald tree skinks so I’m pretty confident I can make it work as long as the size is appropriate. I know red tails like to climb but I’m worried the width is too small. Thoughts?

I got a 4K projector. Give me your top 3 movies you wish you could see on the big screen again.

I started with once upon a time in the west, 2001, Project Hail Mary, LOTR trilogy. I want movies that truly benefit from a theater experience.

Quickie wheel locks

Anyone else having problems with the new Quickie push/pull to lock wheel locks breaking down unusually fast? My clients are wallowing out the rivets every 3-6 months at longest as the new ones only are riveted and not bolted.

We’ve had our group since Thanksgiving. Unfortunately our male passed soon after we got him. However, we bought a pair of captive bred males in January and today we have our first baby! I’m so excited. Our little one is in his own small enclosure now.
