The study is particularly concerned with people born after 1970 but age 30 and older. So that covers Gen X and Millennials, but not (yet) Gen Z.

If you've seen the Mario Galaxy movie, you would know that the Brooklyn sequence confirms that DK stayed there after the events of the first Mario movie.

Going by this alone, I suspect the plot will be something like this:

• The story begins where the first Mario movie left off. Mario and Luigi have defeated Bowser, Peach has shrunk him down, and Toad has put him in a jar. The people of Brooklyn celebrate those heroes, plus DK.
• DK sees Pauline in the crowd, and he instantly falls for her. He decides to stay in Brooklyn so he can woo her.
• A celebration is held at Peach's castle, but it's derailed when DK doesn't show up. Realizing that he never came back from Brooklyn, Peach sends Mario and Luigi to go find him.
• Mario and Luigi spend most of the movie chasing DK through Brooklyn, as he stalks and later kidnaps Pauline.
• Because Cranky's a jerk, he orders the Kong Army to stay in the Mushroom Kingdom until DK returns. This leads to a barrelful of chaos, as over time the Kongs grow restless and begin trashing the kingdom.
• To avoid having a mental breakdown, Peach accompanies Diddy, Dixie, and Chunky on a forbidden trip to the Jungle Kingdom just so she could get out of her castle. While Toad stays behind to make sure the Kongs don't accidentally un-shrink Bowser in her absence.
• Peach, Diddy, Dixie, and Chunky enjoy a brief vacation, but it's derailed when K. Rool and the Kremlings show up with the Banandium Root. Diddy and Dixie manage to escape, but Peach and Chunky are captured.
• After warning the Kongs, Diddy and Dixie go to Brooklyn to help Mario and Luigi track down DK and Pauline. They do so, and DK gives up his quest in order to save the day.
• The Kremlings attack the Mushroom Kingdom and fight the Kongs. K. Rool gains the upper hand by using the Banandium Root to begin sinking the kingdom in Banandium Mush.
• DK, Diddy, Dixie, Mario, and Luigi make their way to Peach's castle. DK confronts K. Rool while the other heroes fight the Kremlings and rescue the prisoners.
• During the climax, Luigi nearly dies but a still-shrunk Bowser saves him, setting up the frenemy dynamic they have in the Mario Galaxy movie.
• And of course, we get a moment between Mario and Peach as the former rescues the latter from K. Rool's vicious appetite.
• K. Rool transforms into the King of Rot for the final battle. DK fights him, and finishes him off by snatching the Banandium Root and using it to go Bananza on him.
• DK uses the Banandium root to undo the damage K. Rool did. Another celebration is held, and the Kongs finally go home. The end.

Not exactly what we hope for, but realistic in my opinion. Feel free to share your thoughts below.

For example, Lizzie Freeman (Meggy's original VA) would make a great Daisy, and Brendan Blaber (Mr. Puzzles) would make a great King K. Rool if they ever decided to have him speak like he does in the DKC cartoons. Any other ideas?
