Open to Joining a Startup as a Technical Co-founder / Founding Engineer

Hi everyone,
I’m currently building my own AI startup, but I’m also open to joining another ambitious startup as a **technical co-founder** if the vision, team, and problem truly excite me.
A bit about me:
11 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
Former engineering lead, leading teams of 8+ engineers and driving complex product development.
Strong background in AI, automation, backend systems, full-stack product development, and system architecture.
Currently building **AutoSilica**, an AI platform that automates semiconductor post-silicon validation workflows using AI agents, orchestration, analytics, and automated reporting.
Comfortable taking products from idea → MVP → production.
Experience with product strategy, technical leadership, execution, and scaling engineering teams.
More importantly, I genuinely **love solving real-world problems**. I’m not interested in building another copycat app just to chase trends. I enjoy working on difficult technical challenges that create measurable value for customers.
I’m looking for founders who:
Are deeply passionate about solving a meaningful problem.
Have strong domain expertise or customer access.
Move fast, value execution, and think long-term.
Want a committed technical partner rather than just someone to write code.
I’m open to opportunities in AI, developer tools, enterprise software, semiconductors, industrial automation, robotics, healthcare, climate tech, or any domain with a compelling problem worth solving.
If you’re building something ambitious and think we might be a good fit, feel free to send me a DM. Happy to chat, exchange ideas, and see if there’s a strong founder fit.
Thanks!

Would you use a wearable device that could safely make you 15 cm taller temporarily?

I'm an engineer exploring a wearable robotics idea and I'd really appreciate honest feedback from shorter people.

The concept is a lightweight wearable robotic device that could temporarily increase your standing height by around 15 cm (about 6 inches) in a few seconds. Unlike elevator shoes, the idea is to use telescopic robotic legs with built-in safety mechanisms and AI-assisted balance control, so the height could be adjusted when needed and returned to normal afterward.

I'm not trying to sell anything—I'm trying to understand whether this solves a real problem or if it's just an interesting engineering idea.

A few questions:

  • If something like this actually existed and was safe, comfortable, and looked reasonably normal, would you ever consider using it?
  • In what situations? (Work, weddings, dating, public speaking, photos, everyday life, etc.)
  • What would stop you from using it?
  • What would be your biggest concerns? (Safety, comfort, appearance, price, social stigma, something else?)
  • How much height increase would actually be meaningful—5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm?

I'm looking for brutally honest feedback, especially from people who are under about 5'6" (168 cm) or who have personally struggled with height-related confidence or practical challenges.

Thanks in advance—your opinions will help me decide whether this is worth pursuing or whether I'm solving a problem that doesn't really exist.
