So much history and knowledge is lost to private buyers. For example, when the British Empire looted India the majority was sold to private buyers back in the UK and elsewhere. There's large parts of history lost to the Indian people, history that has sat in the collections of the elite collecting dust.
There's obviously a debate regarding museums in the UK and elsewhere hoarding stolen artifacts. This question is more about the private market.
Isn't it a crazy thought that there are parts of history unknown to the masses. At least museums catalogue their plunder. We don't even know what we're missing out there in the private collections. Unless a piece pops up for auction and catches the attention of the public.
To me it's also offensive to see celebrities flaunt artifacts in such away. Not just because they're looted pieces but also hugely historic. Something like this should not be worn for clout. Pieces like this firstly belong to the culture they originated from but also to humanity as a whole.
A fantasy of mine would be to see a museum of the world, a museum ran by all. That could collect history for all. They could rotate exhibitions from country to country.

Gus the Tyrannosaurus rex sold for auction at a whopping $50.1 million (£37.4m) to a private buyer. Gus is one the most complete T-Rex specimens found with over 60% of his skeletal remains in tact.
Then we have Zendaya wearing 3000 year old ancient artifacts at the Odyssey premiere.
Margot Robbie wearing colonial loot earlier this year. The Taj Mahal diamond being one of many items stolen from India.
Lastly the toss pot that is Charles III and his very heavy crown. In fact the crown jewels of every EU monarchy deserve extreme scrutiny imho.
Wondered if this was a done thing nationwide or perhaps unique to certain postcodes.
I went to primary school in quite a mixed town. Quite rough in parts etc.
I'm certain it was sold to us as a "Look at this fun activity, isn't it cool" sort of thing.
In which a group of characters are singing "You better watch out" on a loop to the tune of Santa Clause is coming to town. I think part of the joke is that those singing the song don't know what they're referencing. I think they may be antagonists of sorts. At some point someone tells them to stop.
Some Padme looks I hope for are handmaids disguise TPM, Senate appearance TPM, Palpatines office AOTC, Lars Homestead AOTC, baby bump Mustifar ROTS. Yeah I'm quite a big Padme fan.
I'd probably buy a Sabe figure if they made one, doubt that would ever happen though.
Desperately trying to find Giran to go with Malakili.
