Looking for a good vet
All the good doctors left my current vet. I went in today to get a medication refill ( I have to go every 6 months and spend $70 for them to weigh my cat so I can get a refill) previously I was told they recommend blood work every 6 months but I could do it once a year. This time the vet was insisting I do the bloodwork or he would not give the medication. The cost of the bloodwork also DOUBLED. They want me to spend $365 every 6 months just to get her medication! Without it she won’t eat, drink, and barfs constantly so I don’t understand how the bloodwork matters. Every time I’ve done it, it comes back fine. I was OK with doing it once a year and it being like $165 but today’s visit pissed me off. I’m worried they won’t refill her medication when needed. Can anyone recommend a fair vet near san Leandro/ San Lorenzo?
