Looking for DFW furniture recommendations.

In some places I’ve lived, there were good options for buying model home furniture at a solid discount. A lot of it was mid-tier or better, and you could get well-made pieces without paying full retail (closer to 60-70% off and barely used). Are there any stores or warehouses like that in the DFW area?

We’re also open to stores that have good pricing on quality furniture in general. Most of our current furniture is from Arhaus, so we’re looking for something in that general quality/style range, but ideally without overpaying.

We have a child, so we’re probably ruling out very high-end places like Cantoni unless there’s a strong sale or closeout. We only need a few pieces to finish out the house and want things that will last long-term.

Closeout stores, model home furniture sellers, warehouse sales, consignment stores with better brands, or places that carry mid- to upper-tier furniture at a discount would all be helpful.

We checked out The Dump and it wasn’t bad, but we didn’t find much that both my wife and I liked. We’re hoping for pieces that are a little more interesting than what you’d typically find at Ethan Allen, but still practical for a family home.

Any DFW recommendations? We've also stocked FBM and CL without much luck.

Value of used One+

I stumbled across someone locally who inherited a One+. What is the value of it? It appears to be unused.

They don't have the original purchase info as the family member passed. Is there any chance of getting the warranty transferred without any original paperwork? I would have the serial number to work with?

Lymow support isn't the fastest as most know so still waiting for an "official" answer. If there is no transferable warranty, what would be a fair price to offer for it? My concern is that without a transferable warranty, it could quickly become just an expensive brick. I could easily fix things iit broke and I could get parts but that doesn't look like that is easy with this mower.

I am aware of the overheating and stop-mowing issues, but I could just mow when it is cooler to try and work around that. My lawn isn't that big, about 1/4 acre to mow, but I do have a lot of steep hills to navigate around. The front yard goes from about a 10% grade to a 60-65% grade in points.

Best Prime Day (or competitor) deals for moving a 1/4 acre

Just had an offer I may on a new house accepted. So I am trying to take advantage of any deal while still out there. The yard is about about a 1/4 acre and half of it is a 20 degree slope in the front and fairly flat in the rear. Minimal tree coverage. It isn't a complex yard but there is a pool that I'd need to exclude.

If it was just the rear, I think a 2WD mower would work fine, but the front has some fairly steep sections. So looking at the 4WD options.

Any Prime Day Deals that I should consider? I don't want to overpay. I'd prefer to spend closer to a grand or 1500. I am willing to go up a bit more if it really makes a difference but then I venture into the territory of serious pushback by my wife.

Joined the club

I couldn't pass it up. A while ago I was looking at an S but really like the livery of the Navale. Photos don't do it justice for me. A dealer I buy a lot of bikes from made me an amazing deal on it.

So far I like the bike and appreciate it more every ride. I don't mind the quirkiness but another 20 HP would be nice. Got to get rid of the terrible flat spot in the fueling. A header is on the list too.

Glad to learn any tips and tricks for a new owner.

Muffler and header suggestions for a V100 Mandello

I just picked up a V100 Mandello. Cool bike but the stock exhaust has to go and it definitely needs a remap. I will most likely go with the Ago headers but torn on the muffler. I can't stand the look of their mufflers though so looking for other options. At this point I might just go with the header and keep the stock muffler which I actually like the looks of.

Any suggestions?

30 years ago was my last Guzzi - broke the drought

About 30 years ago was when I sold my last Guzzi. I had pretty much gone full Ducati when they came out with the liquid cooled ones. So I bought an 851 and then 888, on to the 916 and spending as much on them as the GDP of a small nation, or so it seemed.

So gradually I moved away from Guzzi. They always had a soft spot in my heart and were one of the most character filled bikes I've owned.

When they came out with the V100 Mandello, I definitely noticed but wasn't ready to buy one at the time as other bikes would be better for how I planned to use it. Fast forward to about a year ago and I was definitely in the market for one and did a lot of research. I negotiated with a few dealers and never could get one at the price that I was willing to pay and the livery I wanted.

Right when I was about to pull the trigger on one, a small dealer I worked with called me about a BMW R1250R they just go in and should take a look at. I ended up buying it as it was a price I couldn't turn down. So the V100 was put off. As luck would have it, the same dealer called me up and asked me if I was still interested in a V100 as he knew that was what I was shopping when I bought the 1250R.

I asked him to hold it until I could come take a test ride. I rode it this weekend it was in great shape and filled with a lot of the Guzzi character that I was used to but with a lot more punch from the motor. I would have bought it then but I wanted to check and make sure the service bulletins were taken care of.

Everything checked out and I put a deposit on it today and will pick up tomorrow after a final checkride. Very excited about this bike as the pictures don't do them justice. Everything felt good when I rode it and like I had been on it for years. The Navale liver is amazing in person and my only regret is it it doesn't have the suspension of the S. I plan to add the quickshifter at some point.

It would be awesome if Guzzi came out with a 1200cc+ version. I wouldn't mind a bit more displacement. I can't wait to put some miles on it and really get to know it. Debating about what mods I want to do first but time in the saddle will help determine that.

Considering a 2023 V100

Quick background - I was considering a leftover 2024 V100 earlier but endend up buying a BMW R1250R at an incredible price. The dealer I work with just called me that he got in a 2023 V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale. He is willing to make me a great deal on it.

It has about 1k miles on it. I know they made some transmission changes with the 2024 and later but I am not sure how significant those would be. Anything I should look out for? The bike looks very clean, and I don't see any sign of oil seepage. I haven't taken it for a test ride but likely will this week.

What would you consider a good deal on this if everything checks out, 8k + tax and title?

I have a few bikes (M1000XR, HD Livewire, R1250R, 1260 S Multistrada and others) and love motorcycles. I've decided to part with my Multi and am seriously looking at 2024 PA. From what I can tell, that should have all the major updates. It is a small independent dealer I've bought from and they are willing to make me what appears to be a pretty good deal.

It has less than 500 miles on it and the owner will sell it to me for just over $15k out the door. I rode it today and it seem to run well as you'd expect.

Anything I should look for in particular? No blemishes that I can see. It has the cast wheels which I am fine with as I'll just use it more on the street or gravel roads.

Any easy way of telling what options it might have by a VIN lookup? How can you tell if it ha ARH. They said it does but I want to double check.

I put a deposit to hold it unil Monday but I wanted to sort things out before I pull the trigger.

Also, any mufflers that eliminate the cat but are not incredibly loud? Slightly louder is fine, but I don't want to annoy my neighbors too much.

Any buyer's remorse after buying one? The ST version was on my radar but it looks like it gives up the semi-active suspension but I would appreciate the 17" wheels all around.

Thanks for any input.
