I want to host a game/activity at my university as an extracurricular activity, while also using it as an IoT project. IoT isn't part of my Computer Science curriculum, so I only have a basic understanding of it.

1. NFC Registration

I want to pass around an A4 sheet with the event information. Students can tap their phones on it to check whether their phone supports NFC. Tapping it would open a message saying that they're eligible for the game.

Questions:

- Can I connect the NFC scan to a backend/database?

- Can I store information about which students scanned it?

- Can I track the students who registered through the NFC scan?

2. NFC Game

I want to stick NFC tags behind printed cutouts, such as movie characters, landmarks, or other images.

For example, a student could tap a picture and get an MCQ such as: Which is the longest river?

Questions:

- Can each NFC tag open a different question or webpage?

- Can the webpage display colours, animations, GIFs, or videos?

- Can I make different things happen depending on whether the answer is correct or wrong?

- For example, a wrong answer could lead to a Rickroll, while a correct answer could show a YIPPEE meme.

3. Database / Backend

Can I keep track of each student's answers in a database and record whether they were correct or wrong?

Can I calculate their score or create a leaderboard from this data?

4. Hardware Limitations

I can't buy an Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or other additional hardware.

I can use my friend's iPhone to write the NFC tags and my laptop for the backend/database.

Main question: Can I build the entire setup using NFC tags + smartphones + my laptop, without needing an Arduino or other dedicated IoT hardware.

I understand calling this an IoT project is larping when I'm only using an NFC tag. Time is limited and I am from the worst tier university possible. I just want to stand out from my group for doing an Out of syllabus project + have extra curriculars.

she came at my bf's place and i sent him food and she got calicivirus we took care. she gave birth to 4 kittens. barely we ourselves ate food but we kept them feed and had litter. Pg owner increased rent, we covered. they got fpv virus in Jan end and we took reddit help only two survived. she got pregnant again and gave birth in the room today to 4 kittens. few days back she got a chest wound and her lactation wasn't coming in, we spent everything left.

now we only got 1kg food and none for ourselves while we both are tech students trying to make a living. 7 kittens in a small room is bad for them.

I only wished to feed her and take care at small vet visits but I didn't think she'd give birth twice and that getting cats adopted is hard.

exams have been skipped, food has been skipped, our parents don't know what we are spending on. I am afraid we will get fatigued and may not be able to help in the future.

please get us in touch with some rescue or smthg atleast please. if our parents get to know they'd throw em out. we took on a responsibility and we have to take care of them.

20F had severe teeth problems whole life and they got severe cause of extreme parental neglect and abuse. I have 3 root canals and one removed teeth. have to get another one removed because there's basically 1/4th of it left.

I brushed the canine part really hard when I was younger so theres some recession there and also on lower front teeth.

A dentist commented that it's too tense and that I'll have to get the lower lip muscle cut. before I could ask more my mom had said to stop making bullshit up to her face and well she never tried to look at me again and assigned me to other ones :/

there's parodontax fluoride one, there's remineralization ones. I'm using a colgate charcoal one my bf got me but I'm guessing I'll need something extra.

also at the end just remembered a few things, I do have tartar build up, I also remembered the dentist saying I have early periodontist and early gingivitis. smthg that will help with that please!!
