roommate situation and idk if im being unreasonable

my roommate and i are random assignment roommates in a new apartment near our school. she signed her lease in june and i signed mine in july.

there are 2 sides to each bedroom, one with the window in the back and one closer to the door. i genuinely don't care THAT much which side i have, but when i toured the apartment, my parents really wanted the window side, so we asked the leasing staff like 50 times if it was available and if anyone had claimed it. they repeatedly told us no one had it yet, so i signed my lease believing i had it. and obvi a window would be nice.

my roommate recently told me she got the window side. she said when she signed in june, they also told her it was available, and she specifically wanted it too. both of our emails also somehow said we had the window side, so clearly the apartment messed something up.

i called them today and they confirmed that i have the window side and she has the side by the door. this is also documented on my lease, that i have the window. anyway, she was thankfully really understanding because neither of us caused this.

i offered to switch sides every semester, but now i'm wondering if that's actually fair or if i should just keep the window since the apartment confirmed it's mine on paper?

i don't know exactly how her leasing process went, so i don't want to assume anything. i just know that on my end, we specifically asked multiple times about the window side before i signed. i dont even know if she toured the room in person, because at that point the apartment would've still been under construction.

i was honestly excited to have her as my roommate, so i don't want this to make things awkward. what would you guys do?

I don't know which notes app to pick!!

Hi!! I am deciding whether or not to use Notability or GoodNotes, and I'm looking into Goodnotes Essential subscription. For this one, I was intrigued by the AI quiz feature. I was wondering if the quizzes are at a capped amount in the essential plan. Additionally, I was wondering how the quiz feature is, do you all feel that it properly preps you for exams? I was also wondering how good the lecture recording/transcription feature is. I am just trying to avoid paying the 9.99 AI feature cost, so I wanted to know if not having that impacts the quiz making in any matter.

I'd also love to know if I should go with Notability Plus or Goodnotes Essential plan as an incoming university student. Making flashcards/quizzes/summaries is pretty important to me within the app, so I'm wondering which app has more of those features in the price points I mentioned. Thank you so much!! I've also just mainly seen polarizing opinions on GoodNotes vs. Notability, so I'm torn on which to pick.

AI Feature Question

Hi!! I am deciding whether or not to use Notability or GoodNotes, and I'm looking into Notability's Plus subscription. For this one, I was intrigued by the AI quiz/flashcard feature. I noticed that it says there are up to 400 AI-powered quizzes and flashcards every month.

Does anyone have an issue running out of quizzes/flashcards each month? I can't really gauge how this works. Does this 400 number count each question/each flashcard or each quiz and each flashcard deck?

I'd also love to know if I should go with Notability plus, or Goodnotes Essential plan as an incoming university student. Making flashcards/quizzes/summaries is pretty important to me within the app, so I'm wondering which app has more of those features in the price points I mentioned. Thank you so much!! I've also just mainly seen polarizing opinions on GoodNotes vs. Notability, so I'm torn on which to pick.

build/dmg question

hi guys,

as of now im running sandrone with yae, qiqi, and diona. i will be pulling odette (i have her guarenteed) as well.

anyways, i have yae running golden troupe right now, since im not having the best luck in the disenchantment domain. i have a full set on sandrone (but with an em sands tsk...) so im waiting for an atk sands to move onto yae farming.

but now i ALSO have to farm odettes new set + the remainder of her new mats. i was just curious who i should prioritize giving a new set to at the moment: odette or yae??

also i was wondering, how much more dmg will my sandrone do when yae is also on disenchantment? currently she does like 108k per laser, but sometimes 85-93k (guessing it depends on my bad rotation skills). additionally, how much dmg increase will i see with odette?

thank you so much!! any advice is appreciated.

STAT 20 + ECON 100A + DATA C88C first sem???

Could someone please let me know if I should drop Data C88C?? (I don't have extensive coding experience, but I'm trying to prepare a bit before the semester begins). I was also wondering if this is a manageable course load. Thank you!!

Looking for advice

Hi,

I did a one-year transfer pathway to transfer from community college to a university in California (studying economics). I wanted to ask if I'm supposed to apply for summer 2027 roles and if it's too late for me or not. I'm considered an incoming junior at my university, but by age I am supposed to be an incoming sophomore. I feel so overwhelmed, and I don't want to rush and apply, especially since I haven't decided if I want to double major or not. Additionally, I've just not explored my university, and I don't know where to start or what to do.

I've had two business-related internships so far, and I'm currently doing one, but I want to prepare for a paid internship role. I'm just so confused which roles I am supposed to apply to.

TDLR; does anyone know if it's alright that I can apply to summer 2028 roles instead of summer 2027? I plan to take a third year at my university anyways since I don't want to rush my college experience, and I'm supposed to be a sophomore either way. Am I allowed to delay my recruitment/applications, or will employers and companies look at this in a negative manner? I was hoping to apply to consulting internships, business-related internships, finance internships, tech, etc etc. I didn't really think this through, and I'm really nervous that I won't land anything due to my odd situation.

ANY advice at all is appreciated. Thank you so much!!!

ds comprehensive review - worth it for me???

hi everyone, im an incoming transfer at cal hoping to double major in econ + ds (originally admitted for econ), and im trying to figure out if it's worth going through the comprehensive review process for ds.

so far ive done calc 1 and calc 2. this fall im taking linear algebra (might take this at cc if i don't get a spot) and STAT 20 at berkeley. my current plan is to take CS 61A in the spring and then CS 61B over the summer (since comp review allows a summer course).

but since im a transfer, this year is my only opportunity to apply to the ds major if I want to do a double major with econ. anyways, what has me super worried is that i recently found out the domain emphasis also has to be completed by the spring/summer. and i didn't know that until I met with a ds advisor, last week.

sooo that means i still have to finish Linear Algebra, STAT 20, CS 61A, CS 61B, and the entire Domain Emphasis, which for me is one lower-division course and two upper-division courses --> and i'll probably pick the econ emphasis since it has some overlap with my main major, but i was looking into the law emphasis too.

and so im just wondering if it's even worth trying. if I apply while CS 61B is still in progress over the summer, is that likely to hurt my chances or get me denied? has anyone been admitted through comprehensive review with a similar experience? also, does taking 61A in the spring and 61B in the summer seem like a reasonable plan? or is that too hard?? (my coding skills arent the best at all, but im willing to put in the work needed to succeed).

im also a one-year transfer, so im supposed to be a sophomore. so mentally im not sure im ready to jump into a bunch of technical upper divs so quickly. but, i really want to make the double major happen if it's actually doable, and so i know trying cannot hurt. esp cus im also interested in doubling with stats, so i would probably list that as my second choice.

tdlr; i would really appreciate hearing from other ds majors, econ majors, or other transfer students who went through comprehensive review. do u think it was worth it, and would you recommend going for it in my situation???

thank you so so so much!!!! please be kind idk if this is a dumb question or not sorry!

How to Manifest College Acceptance?

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking some advice/guidance on how to manifest a university acceptance. I'm new to manifesting, and I would love any advice/techniques to follow, esp. for my specific circumstances.

To begin with, I don't see myself at any other school. I originally was rejected, but I knew I didn't belong anywhere else, so I made sure to appeal the decision. I'm just waiting on these results. I've been being robotic affirming each night, and listening to self-concept subliminals overnight too. This is something I NEED to happen, so if there are any better techniques and practices I can do, please let me know! Also, please let me know if I should work on my self-concept as well before actually manifesting this acceptance. Thank you!!

Need Help!!

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking some advice/guidance on how to manifest my SP. I'm new to manifesting, and I would love any advice/techniques to follow, esp. for my specific circumstances.

To begin with, my SP and I are currently in no contact (SP has blocked me everywhere, and I've blocked SP on a few platforms). SP and I used to be in a relationship, and that's where everything went downhill. I just want SP and I to get back to when we had it best, which was in our friendship. I've been robotic, affirming, listening to subs each night, etc., etc. But all of this is ruined when I check my SP's profile. Which I find myself doing all the time. I'm trying my best to overcome this bad habit. Once I stop doing this, what is the best technique/practices I can use?

Additionally, I know circumstances don't matter, and I know my SP still likes me as a person, since we did have a conversation a few months ago. But after that my SP wanted us to remain no contact and my SP didn't give me a say on what I thought about this.

I just want our friendship back, and any advice is appreciated! Please let me know if I should work on my self concept as well, before actually manifesting back my SP. Thank you!!

Hello! If my final community college spring quarter grades haven't been reflected on my unofficial transcripts yet, does anyone know what to do? Since transcripts need to be submitted to Berkeley by July 1st.

Thank you!
