[FOR HIRE] Bookkeeping VA | Admin Support | QuickBooks Certified

Hi! I’m currently looking for remote/part-time opportunities in bookkeeping VA, and administrative support.

I’m a graduating Financial Management student with a QuickBooks Online Accountant Certification, along with hands-on experience with accounting-related tasks such as organizing receipts, invoices, documents, and data.

I can help with:
- Basic bookkeeping and financial data entry
- Organizing receipts, invoices, and financial records
- QuickBooks Online
- Google Sheets/Excel and data entry
- Email and inbox organization
- Calendar and task management
- File/document organization
- Online research
- Administrative follow-ups and routine communication
- Other day-to-day VA/admin tasks

One thing I already have for my admin support workflow is a set of templates/checklists for different situations. For example, I have templates for follow-ups, task updates, handovers, emails, timecard, and organizing tasks. This helps me avoid starting from scratch every time while still adjusting the template based on the situation.

I’m still building my professional VA experience, but I’m very willing to learn your systems, SOPs, and preferred way of doing things. I’m comfortable following instructions, working with spreadsheets and online tools, and keeping information organized.

Tools: QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Canva, Notion, Trello, and other productivity tools

If you’re looking for someone who can help with bookkeeping, admin work, or general VA support, feel free to send me a DM. I’d be happy to learn more about what you need and send you my resume 😊

Gemini 3.8 Live just made voice agents a lot harder to ignore

The 97-language support is probably the most interesting part of this launch for me. Gemini 3.8 Live can also make tool calls in the background while you keep talking, so it can potentially do things without completely interrupting the conversation.

The numbers are interesting too: Google says the Extended Thinking version scored 82.6 on Artificial Analysis’ Speech-to-Speech Quality Index and 68.6% on τ-Voice agentic task completion.

I’m more curious about how this holds up outside of demos. Voice agents have been around for a while, but latency, interruptions, and reliability still make them frustrating. If those problems are actually improving, this could make voice AI much more practical.

Struggling with C/P and B/B? Here's what I did and maybe you can too

even if your CARS is great but don't let it carry you. Most schools have hard cutoffs and won't even send a secondary if any section is below 124-125. You need all sections over 125, period.

For C/P and B/B: go straight into UPlanet/UWorld. Don't waste weeks reading Kaplan first. Kaplan throws 10,000 pieces of information at you and you won't retain or be selective about what actually matters. UPlanet tests you on what you need to know for the exam. Use Kaplan as a supplement at most.

Do UPlanet in tutor mode, untimed in the beginning. Learn as you go. Even if you guess a question because you haven't studied that content yet, flag it and redo it later. Even doing one or two passages a day adds up. Start earlier than you think you need to a big part of this exam is getting the question setup and approach down, not just pure content.

for Physics my strategy is simple Memorize the equations especially the capacitor stuff. Biochem tricky part is just the metabolic pathways which is straight memorization.
For Anki use the MileDown/Anking deck for general content overview, then make a separate deck for things you get wrong or aren't sure about. Call it "missed concepts" or whatever. That way you're drilling concepts you actually don't know way more than a premade deck would show them to you.

Psych/Soc is the easiest to bump up quickly. Just learn the vocab. Read the 150 page KA doc if needed.

What actually helped you get your first few UGC clients?

I’m trying to get more serious about UGC, and I’ve been working on my portfolio and reaching out to potential clients. The part I’m struggling with is actually getting people to respond.

I’ve seen a lot of advice saying to “just do more outreach,” but I’m curious what actually worked for people who were starting from zero.

Did you focus more on:
- cold DMs/emails
- applying to UGC platforms
- improving your portfolio first
- making sample videos for brands
- or something else?

Also, when you first started getting paid, how did you decide what to charge? I feel like pricing is one of those things where everyone gives a different answer.

how do you actually take notes while reviewing?

i’ve been trying to improve the way I review, but I feel like I’m doing more copying than actually studying. my usual routine is to read through the PPT and then take notes on basically the whole thing. by the end, i have whole pages of notes, but i’m not sure if i actually learned or understood anything.

For those who review from lecture slides, how do you decide what’s actually worth writing down? do you summarize each slide, write questions instead, make flashcards, or just take notes on things you can’t remember? i need tipsss

The waterfall that flows upward

No, this isn't some cleverly morphed photo or visual illusion. This is actually a crazy waterfall in the Faroe Islands where the water at times flows upwards.

The Faroe Islands are located in the middle of the North Atlantic, so they get some crazy strong winds. And when the wind gets strong enough, it sometimes catches the water falling from the cliff and blows it back upwards. So instead of falling straight down into the ocean, the water gets pushed back up the cliff and turns into a huge cloud of mist and spray.

The first time you see it, it honestly feels like Newton was wrong all along. Gravity has been defied. But gravity is still doing its job. The water is still trying to fall down, but the wind is basically stronger than the force pulling the water down.

And this doesn't happen every day. It needs the right combination of strong winds, rain, and other environmental factors. So you can have the exact same waterfall looking completely normal one day and then seemingly flowing into the sky during a storm. Imagine standing in front of a waterfall and watching the water fly back up into the sky. I would probably think I just witnessed a glitch in the matrix
