Free trial is ending tomorrow, and fellas - I think I might be with you for the ride

My only real experience with extraction shooters was the server slam and then marathon, and boy oh boy did Arc evolve in ways marathon just, sort of, didn't.

EDIT: also, fell in love with the camera. Thinking about just doing runs as a "war correspondent" in nightfall zones and such. Seems interesting.

Question regarding sources of lime

I've been trying to figure this out on my own, but I still don't get whether you need to find the source blocks (chalk, marble, limestone) on the surface or underground. Surface would be pretty self-explanatory – see rock, mine it. But if it's underground - how do you find it? I don't think prospecting highlights it, so then you need to dig exploratory shafts. But then – how deep? How often? Maybe there's a certain region that has a better probability to have it?

The optimal render distance and hardware for this mod?

I'm sporting a 5600x amd CPU, 2060 Super, have 32 gigs to spare - at 256 chunks and "I paid for the whole CPU" mode the time to render all the chunks grows exponentially. At roughly 2 hours of waiting I threw in the towel. Is this the intended experience and wait time? Is it just the necessary downside to render such a big block of the world?

A comparative study of FLOOF

Exhibit A: the model's age is roughly 8 months

Exhibit B: the model's age is exactly 1 year

Exhibit C: the model is several years old now

Result: Model + time = more floof

Best input device for NO?

I'm an ace combat/project wingman man. Those games do not really vibe with the M + KB combo but it works. However, I've tried this game with M + KB and it's... bad. My main question is - Is this game largely viable to play on m/KB or would it be better to get a gamepad. Proper aviasim joysticks are out of the question - they're horrifically expensive.

I my neighbour's elderly cat

The neighbour is out-of-town for the next 2 weeks and he asked us to look after his 16 y.o. Spartacus. The old man has lost a lot of weight over the years, went from 4.5 kilos to around 3.5. We visit him around 3-4 times a day for intense -ing sessions, he doesn't mind.

Far cry 3 ziggy's mod crashes + missing textures

Basically the title. After the initial downgrade to the 2018 version I got around 2 hours of gameplay out of it and then I couldn't get my savefile to load. Reinstalled the game, downgraded it again - Second savefile lived for a total of 7 minutes, but after that I actually managed to get my first save to work, only to see what you see in the pictures above. Is this widespread? Is there a reliable way to get it fixed?
