Pricing

I’ve always admired the LC500, but I’ve had my head in the sand the last 6 months or so with typical pricing. I knew the LC was ending production soon, but figured it wouldn’t jump up too much since end of the day it’s still a luxury GT and 99% of cars in this class depreciate. Boy was I wrong! New pricing mark-ups are crazy and used cars are going for $20k-30k more than I remember.

Curious how long that trend will continue, especially for pre-interior refresh cars.

20 years old and has never been serviced. Omega quality is unreal!

This 2006 Planet Ocean 1st Gen Chronograph was a university graduation gift from my parents over a decade ago, and I only wear it on special occasions. I don’t use a winder and just leave it in my watch case upright.

Nat at Night was pretty disappointing

Man, they really oversell the tickets to this thing. Felt like December night level crowds, with $10 12oz cans of beer and $15 glasses of wine, along with the most mediocre $10 each tacos you’ll ever have. The line for the rooftop spanned all the way to the main atrium stairs and was a 45 minute wait.

Just an FYI to consider a different date night idea for Friday if this came on your feed and seemed interesting.

Picked a Skoda Kamiq from Sixt for a trip to the Basque Country. Loved it!

I recently visited Spain with my girlfriend, and for the Basque Country part of our trip we decided to get a rental car for flexibility. The representative at Sixt offered to upgrade us to a BMW or Mercedes for free since I picked the full insurance, but I was insistent on the Skoda since we don’t have these in California and I wanted to try one. Very high build quality and excellent ride comfort! I’m happy they didn’t go to the crappy haptic feedback steering wheel buttons like the VW’s. I’d love one of these in the US since the size was perfect for 2 people, and the 1.5 TSI was more than enough power for a commuter car. Very impressed with my first time driving a Skoda!

New to me 2023 M340i

I’ve had a 2016 F30 328i M-sport for the last 8 years that’s been my daily, and I’ve loved it but been wanting something a little more modern. I had an order for a loaded 2026 M340i in this exact spec- Alpine White on Tacora Red with DAPP, Adaptive Suspension, Parking Assistance, staggered black/silver wheels, HUD, HK. This 2023 came up at my local dealer as a CPO and I was able to get it for $51k with 17k miles, not bad to save some serious coin!

This RPG nerf sucks. Feels like a potato gun now! I find that suicide bombing with C4 on tanks is a more effective anti armor strategy than running engineer on breakthrough. Especially if the enemy team has one engineer on their armor and is healing faster than you can smack with another rocket.
