u/Count_to_Seven was active on this sub posting some teasers and they also wrote some stories on r/nosleep about the different members of the Hill family(acting as additional background for the main show). I have seen some comments mention them as one of the official writers for Hill House, but never saw any official post from them or Netflix or anything. Their stories also weren't removed from nosleep, which only allows original works(including original characters).

My theory: u/Count_to_Seven is none other than Rebecca Klingel a.k.a u/The_Dalek_Emperor. She was big on NoSleep, still is regarded as one of the best authors on the site, and she was involved in the writing for Hill House and Bly

There are plenty of people from that era that we regularly talk about — authors, philosophers, politicians. None but two of them had a toothbrush moustache.

Follow up question: Why did it fall out of fashion after that? People did not stop having long moustaches after Stalin, or long beards after 9/11. Why did this particular style of moustache get associated with one person and fall out of fashion even though a lot of people had them?

I quickly realized that I was in way over my head, and Nanni had a partner, a man named Gubaru-Fir, a businessman. Nanni essentially sold me into servitude to this man, and when I tried to quit, Fir threatened my family. I didn't know where to turn. Eventually, Nanni and Fir had a falling out. From what I can gather, Nanni was always pushing for a greater share of the business, to which Fir flatly refused to give him, and things escalated. Fit was able to arrange, uh I guess I guess you call it a "hit" on my customer, and failed, but Nanni was seriously injured, and I wound up paying for his healer who charged a little over 7 shekels of silver. Upon recovery, Nanni was bent on revenge, working with a man named Hammu-Samas, he plotted to kill Fir, and did so. In fact, the arrowhead that he used was made by me, and he gave me no option in it. I have often contemplated suicide, but I'm a coward. I wanted to go to the king, but I was frightened. Nanni had risen in the ranks to become the city governor of Ur, and about that time, to keep me in line, he took my children from me. For 3 months he kept them. My wife, who up until that point, had no idea of my criminal activities, was horrified to learn what I had done, why Nanni had taken our children. We were scared. I was in Irkalla, I hated myself for what I had brought upon my family. Recently, I tried once again to quit, to end this nightmare, and in response, he sent his messenger who punched me in the face. I can't take this anymore. I live in fear every day that Nanni will kill me, or worse, hurt my family. I... All I could think to do was to inscribe this clay tablet in hope that the world will finally see this man, for what he really is.

This is the main premise of the show— Walt's product is leagues better than anyone else's in terms of quality(well, except >!Jesse's!< in later seasons). In the first two seasons(till Tuco), this has a very easy explanation— most meth cooks are making the product improperly, while they're probably high themselves. Walt, on the other hand, understands and respects the chemistry behind it, and insists on doing it properly, like using the right equipment for each step and refusing to add chilli p or other bullshit. Later, due to shortage of pseudo, he switches to methylamine, and follows an "old-school" recipe, which causes the blue colour. But he's never shown to experiment with the product or devising a new recipe, the purity is entirely due to equipment and precision. He'd be making a very pure product, much better than backyard cooks, but I find it hard to believe that someone trained in the chemistry, like Gale, would not be able to reproduce it using existing recipes with access to Gus' lab.
