At this point, it's pretty undeniable that there is an in-universe connection between David, BV, and Gregory (check here for all the evidence). I'm the strongest GodDavid believer, but I'll admit the mechanism we have right now for how this connection happened is a little wonky. It's weird for both F10N4 and William to collaborate on recreating David for some unknown. So, I've got a theory for a new mechanism while staying true to the GodDavid roots: DavidReincarnation.
I believe that David, BV, and Gregory are the same soul reincarnated.
First off, the way Golden Freddy and Tiger Rock act are intentionally the exact same. Teleporting, flashing in the player's face, creepy laughs, and murdering the player apply to both.
Gregory is commonly critiqued as having a different personality than BV and David, destroying sentient animatronics with zero remorse. But it's important to keep in mind that the story in the game was not the one Scott wanted. If you listen to Gregory's voice lines outside of the unintended story, he sounds like a frightened and passive child. In fact, Gregory and David sound very similar, despite having entirely different voice actors.
So, what if these really are the same soul? David Murray died in 1976/5, BV was born with the soul of David in 1976/5, making him 7 or 8 in 1983. Tiger rock and M2 are agony manifestations of David, not his actual soul. When BV dies, his soul is trapped inside Golden Freddy instead of being freed, delaying his reincarnation.
This could also explain how Afton learned about remnant and possession. Working with Edwin, Afton would have known David (or even killed him) so his son looking exactly like this dead kid while being born right after he died would tip William off to the existence of souls.
But it could just be coincidence, right? Well, I've got another one for you: FFPS/UCN, where BV's soul is set free, likely takes place in 2023. Gregory is born in 2023 with the soul of BV, making him exactly 12 at the widely accepted Security Breach year of 2035. Do you really think this just a perfect coincidence?
This explains the David-BV-Gregory connection while also making the timeline more interconnected.
Now, let's take time to address counterpoints:
Why does only one soul have this power? - IDK, could be explained in the next game or the one after.
No book evidence destroys this theory - The books can support a theory, but a lack of book evidence doesn't disprove it. Robot wives weren't a thing until SOTM.
This theory is insane - yes, but you gotta admit it has pretty darn convincing evidence.
An all knowing God who created the universe cannot coexist with free will.
In Abrahamic religion, god made Lucifer with the knowledge that he would turn away from god and become Satan. God could have made Lucifer in a way where he would be loyal, like the other angels, but didn't. Because Satan was created to rebel, rebelling wasn't his choice, but god's. Because Satan did not choose, he does not have free will.
This logic can then be applied to any human action done if the universe was made by an all knowing god, meaning humans cannot have free will if an all knowing god made them.
I'm an incoming freshman for CS, but I decided after applying to double major in applied physics as well, since I'm interested in math and want to keep my options open. What's the process for switching to a double major? Should I have already put that in my application or do I just ask my counselor?
Cassidy she don't mean nothing no more...
So I got into UCI for CS + full cal grant (~16k per year). Tuition is not much higher than that and I already live in Irvine, so am I just, like, set for paying for college?
