When I was in grade school (60s), the janitor had this absorbent green powder they threw on vomit.
It seems some kid was vomiting every other week.
Anyone else have a similar experience? I don’t think my kids school (2000s) had this.

Got vaxed yesterday with Moderna’s mRNA flu vaccine, which, as expected , is 26% more effective than traditional vaccine (which makes sense, right ?).
Pharmacist said they’re having trouble keeping it in stock because of high demand. That was a pleasant surprise- I expected folks to be more stupid due to RFK blather.

This Science paper is not about a “cure for cancer” but rather a cure for chemotherapy induce peripheral neuropathy. The title of the paper is “**Psilocybin prevents chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy through mitochondrial trafficking preservation”**
**The gist of the research is that psilocybin had remarkable preventative benefit in a mouse model of neuropathy.**
**The NYtimes article stated that, given this startling data, clinical trials in humans is starting immediately.**

I started this so I can read “Lotte in Weimar” by Thomas Mann, a novel about the return of the Beloved to the town where Goethe lives, both of them now in their senior years.
I came across this used volume, published in 1970, as a “companion volume” to the Norton Critical of Moby Dick.

I thought that neuropathy would be a certain level and maybe improve over time. But I have a variable symptom that comes and goes
I’m curious if folks have a similar experience with neuropathy. It’s been a year since FOLFOX. The neuropathy faded such that I thought maybe there was none, but a Dr’s pin test revealed I do have neuropathy in my feet.
Here’s the weird part. About once to twice a month, a patch of skin (about 6 inches by 2 inches) on my inner left foot feels extremely sensitive for a half day. It feels like I burned that skin a few days ago and now it can’t tolerate even a light touch. Then it goes away. So it’s variable. Anyone have variable neuropathy experience?
Looking through my phone, I came across a photo of my wife and I, in front of the bell, moments after I had rung it. That was the last infusion of 3 months of FOLFOX. (Stage 3b, had 22 inches of sigmoid removed).
Next scan is August 3. So far, so good.
