Target salary at 5 yoe, Am i getting low balled at 22lpa in Mumbai?

Fullstack developers in Mumbai.
What to expect?
Currently earning 17lpa, got an offer at 22lpa and feel like all my peers are making 30-40lpa, i do earn on par with my friends in medical/mba of same age lol but most tech folks make much more like 30-40 lpa, Is it my bubble or that’s the median?
What is good salary for 5 yoe in India(Not the IIT/NIT bubble but true median) ?

Why is celebs buccal fat removal so drastic while normal buccal fat removal looks so natural and very slightly changed?

When you search buccal fat before after results look very less changed(like 1st guy), but these celebs turn there faces super defined. I am not saying it’s ideal but how does there buccal fat removal make there faces so defined while normal buccal fat removal barely makes difference?

What format lost it’s monoculture relevace and is most fragmented between Music, TV/Streaming, Movies, Video Games

As 2020s are known to have less monoculture moments, i have noticed in 2024 music had it’s moment, 2025 tv & video games, 2026 Movies did (so far)

But in 2010s MCU was so so strong for movies, game of thrones dominated TV for a whole decade , Video games had GTA V, Music had Drake dominating pop culture.

What format is most fragmented in 2020s?

The game of thrones prequel ‘Aegon’s Conquest’ Box office Prediction with positive reviews?

Game of thrones was huge in 2019, as big as Avengers endgame, what MCU was to films GOT was to TV/Streaming.

However HOTD/Knight of seven kingdoms, as big as they were never captured culture on Game of thrones scale due to GOT ending.

Now if Aegon’s conquest movie, with $200m budget and starcast arrives and great review, what should be the box office prediction?

Is monoculture making a comeback in 2020s

2025 was big monoculture for TV - Stranger things, Squid Game, Wednesday, the big 3 of TV. Then we have pluribus season 2, Severance season 2(definetly relevant in some niches)

2026 is big monoculture for Movies - Obsession, Michael, Spiderman , Odyssey, Project Hail Mary even though this was a very weak year for Streaming/TV.

We haven’t seen major monoculture for Gaming, except live streaming games from 2010s continuing there dominance but with GTA VI it is expected to be big.

How would achilles be represented by Christopher Nolan if he was shown in Trojan war?

Agamemnom was shown as this larger than life guy but achilles didn’t respect him like others, how would he have been like? Who would have been casted and how would he have been presented. Makes me want a story on Iliad or an extended cut with that part so much

2026 feels like the year movies are back as the backbone of pop culture.

I know it’s too early to predict who dominated 2026 especially before GTA 6 but it seems like TV dominated the discussion in 2025- Severance, Wednesday, Stranger Things, Squid Games, Adoloscence, Pluribus and Gaming delivered excellent as well with expedition 33 , Hades II etc but this year is absolutely dominated by movies. Every person is talking about movies from project hail mary to devil wear prada 2 to obsession to michael to odyssey to spiderman now all year long.
It’s strange to see this big comeback of movies, feels even bigger than the year of barbieheimer, somehow feels like it could be a year as big or dare i say bigger than 2019.

PBCs/GCCs to avoid that pay well but have bad hikes/growth later

My friend got into a company that gave the amount he asked for but 2 years later he has recieved 2-4% hike, considering it was a small startup that didn’t work out.
What companies to avoid that will pay well but later back off. I know plenty of SBCs but what PBCs to avoid as well?

4 YOE , Is the market bad or are package expectations too high right now?

Tier 3 college, Working at WITCH, Very normal profile.
4 YOE, 11lpa, started applying via linkedin/naukri. Got many many replies from PBCs including FAANG, Tier 1 tech, Finance banks all offering 20-30lpa.
1 Resum used only and clicked on apply of top post of linkedin/naukri. That's all.

Currently switching at 23lpa to a GCC.

On contrary my friend making 30lpa, is having genuine struggle to switch and kept telling me before i applied that job market is brutal, apply to 500 before expecting a reply. It's impossible to get shortlisted etc.

Clearly he doesn't target anything below 35lpa at same yoe. Similarly i have seen Many Btech students/My juniors also cry about how they are unable to find a job but at the same time deny any job under 8lpa.
Is this the case for most?

Since nowadays even tier 3 colleges 10lpa is norm and 4 yoe 25lpa+ is not big deal, are people straight up rejecting anything below this median/average?

Edit : By many many replies, i meant 25+ company calls in 4 months.

Guessing layoffs is way too predictable in 2026

If a company has setup a Global Capability Center in another country, or is suddenly hiring aggresively in another country, Just know that layoffs are coming. Most of the companies except the victims of SaaSpocalypse have kept the same count or slightly increased it every year. So if there is suddenly a 3500 Job vacancy in some country, just know that company is laying off it’s 10% workforce here and 10000000% hiring it somewhere else.
People keep looking for vacancies after layoffs are done but the correct way is to see vacancies before layoffs.

Based on the bulk hiring pattern i am seeing in other countries a big tech company everyone used before asking AI is going to have a major round of layoff soon and also a SAAS company which every designer knows (iykyk)
