The audio quality control has been terrible the whole game.

The broadcast audio has been up and down the whole night, and the ads are twice as loud as the game audio. I haven't watched many Mets games this year, but is this a regular issue? I have to imagine if it was more people would be talking about it because of how obnoxious it is.

Why on earth does my PC keep freezing?

For the last several weeks my PC has frozen while I'm playing games. After maybe 5-20 minutes (depending on the game) the game itself freezes first, then everything else on my PC freezes, then unfreezes until the game closes itself.

(If any information is not presented correctly please forgive me; I have not posted to a PC-help subreddit before.)

Specs:

CPU: 12th Gen Inter(R) Core(TM) i5-12600K

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

PSU: High Power 600W

RAM: 24 GB

Motherboard: ASRock B660-C

I have tried so many things:

  • Testing all three RAM sticks
  • Reseating my GPU
  • Reinstalled GPU drivers several times
  • Updated all drivers
  • XMP set to Auto in BIOS
  • Health checks and sfc /scannow through cmd
  • Manually lowering my maximum power through AMD software
  • Limiting FPS and lowering graphics settings
  • Unplugged and re-plugged my PSU
  • I have changed settings and disabled/enabled numerous settings people have suggested on other Reddit threads
  • None of my temperatures are higher than they should be.
  • I removed my CPU and reapplied the Thermal Paste to ensure it wasn't hotter than it should be.

Things to note:

  • Crashing appears exclusively in games.
  • I bought this PC as a prebuilt 3-4 years ago and have upgraded the CPU, GPU, and RAM. I have not changed anything else. The original prebuilt shipped with a GeForce GTX 1650.
  • My PC has worked for upwards of an entire year without any issues until they randomly appeared
  • I have not overclocked or undervolted anything
  • I've checked Event Viewer and Reliability history and a "LiveKernalEvent" accompanied by a code: "a1000001" appears whenever these freezes and crashing occur.
  • I have none of the AMD Adrenalin settings enabled.

Questions:

  • I have to imagine this is a Hardware issue and not a software one because of all of the settings I have adjusted to no avail, but I could be very wrong.
  • Could it be that my PSU is wearing out and needs to be replaced given that it is years older than my GPU? I have order a 750W power supply and will test that when it comes in a few days.
  • Does this sound more like a GPU or a PSU issue?

A few questions regarding balancing in the new F1 26 DLC.

I'm basing all of this off of my Audi Driver Career, so I'm not sure how that affects anything but I thought it was worth noting.

Is the discrepancy for AI difficulty between tracks even larger now? With a midfield Audi car, I won in Monza with a seven second gap to the car behind, and qualified first. Whereas at more technical tracks such as Singapore, Madrid, and Hungary I qualified last and was several seconds off the pace? This makes zero sense and completely ruins those tracks for me.

The AI is significantly faster in Qualifying than in the race, like WAY faster. Is there any chance this gets addressed? Part of me doubts much will change because they don't seem to like adjusting the AI in any significant way despite the AI being by far the most glaring issue with the game. I saw a video from Matt212 where he theorized that the AI had infinite boost mode during Qualifying? If true it is another example of how poorly managed the AI balancing was for the entire during of F1 25's lifecycle.

Is ERS disabled or nerfed at Singapore? Just did a career race at Singapore, and boost mode would not work in any sessions. I could engage it, but it didn't actually affect my performance in any way and never went beneath 50% even one time. I can't imagine why given it's usable at Monaco. (And yes I checked for assists and didn't have any active.)

Somewhat unrelated, but why is there virtually zero grip at some tracks? Canada, Baku, and Singapore being standouts. Canada is by far the worst for me; is seriously feel like I'm driving through a full wet track on slicks.

My largest fear with the DLC was that the AI were going to have even larger issues with AI balancing than even the 2025 cars. While this is not seemingly the case during races at some tracks (i.e power circuits: Austria. Monza, etc.) more windy and technical tracks allow the AI to blast through corners at far higher speeds than the player possibly could.

How are the cars 26 better or worse than the 25 cars in your first impressions?

The most impactful new addition in the season pack is the new cars, no doubt. Many people inside and outside of the sport have bemoaned these regulations as being "not real racing". But after driving them for a bit, how do you feel they compare to the 2025 cars and in what ways?

My First Impressions:

For me, I think in ways they are better to drive in the sense that they feel lighter, as well as having more reliable grip out of the low speed. The new cars also have almost no dirty air whatsoever, which makes them a more fun to drive behind someone.

In other ways it's not so great. Having your ENTIRE lap time be completely dictated by how well you can manage your battery feels pretty cheap, and the closing speed of one car on boost mode and another on 0% is staggering. It doesn't feel like you got passed because you made a mistake that let them by, you just didn't have the battery, so you ended up defenseless. It is also much more difficult to be proud of a good lap time because unlike past F1 cars lap time isn't gained or lost in the corners, it is gained or lost in the straight. That is boring and not fun at all. If anything they are most fun to drive in time trial because you don't have to worry about managing you battery to use on a straight, you can just enjoy how much fun the handling is.

Overall I think this DLC is a HUGE win for the F1Game community because of it's reasonable pricing compared to how much it adds, the new cars look, sound, and feel great to drive, and the Madring is a fun track to hot-lap. I'm not critiquing the developers whatsoever, not even a little bit. If anything I have to commend them for how well they replicated the new regulations. However the new cars produce a very cheap kind of racing that ultimately fosters arcade-esque racing that just isn't fun to try. And it's very possible to even likely that I grow more accustomed to the new mechanics and everything will settle down, and I know that many people are loving the new content and the battery stuff is something new to learn, I just don't think it's very fun.

(Again, I'm critiquing the new cars how they are in real-life, the developers did a great job considering the source material.)

It is worth noting that the DLC literally just came out so I expect my opinions to bounce back and forth over the coming weeks, but I see myself likely spending more time with the 2025 cars for the next while. (and going back to the Formula Fantasy Season 2 mod which you should absolutely check out if you haven't yet!)

I've just beaten Maliketh with Morgott's Cursed Sword and want to respec, but I'm not exactly sure how I should do it.

I know I want to be a weapon-user more than a caster, but with some casting capability whether that be for buffs for basic ranged options. Maliketh's Black Blade is a super cool weapon, Ordovis' Greatsword is awesome, as is Siluria's Tree, and I might try to get the Death Knight weapons and Euporia whenever I get to the DLC. I've used Blasphemous Blade before and I think it's kind of boring so that is out of the question. So mostly STR/FTH or FTH with minimal investment into other stats.

What are some good Talismans, stat spreads, and any fun incantations?
