Note: I encourage anyone to share the things they have noticed they changed from LN to anime adaptation.

Auber being beaten in a sparring match was kinda off if you ask me, it seems this change was only done to reflect how Eris has grasped the sword of light move and for hype factor. However, if am not mistaken this was not included in the LN and it seems to damage Auber skill a bit.

It was actually Rieda who went for her sword and not Isolde, she even comments the aura and murderous intent Eris seems to exude. Usually the water god style exudes calmness even it's fiercest foe, her going for her sword was a shame to them. Which is another reason why she was so intrigued by Eris.

I won't really bring up the coat change, since personally it is a welcome change and it does make sense.

Please feel free to correct me if I did bit recall it accurately. Please also share what you have seen as skipped or changed content.

Mushoku Tensei isn't and wasn't meant to be everyone's cup of tea. I definitely understand this, I would even go as far to say. Those who like Mushoku Tensei think it is meant to be a redemption arc you are going to be sadly disappointed. Even the author himself has shot down this notion that it's a story about redemption.

It's just a story about a person who found himself being given a second chance at life, where he tries to live it to the fullest with no regrets in the end. >!spoiler he does succeed, but not without facing a lot of hurdles.!<

There are a lot of Isekai out there in this day and age, stories about people being teleported into another world, reborn, summoned, and where they become heroes and do the right thing all the time. If that is up, your alley sad to tell you this isn't that story.

The reason why i loved Mushoku Tensei when I first watched it was how it introduced things into the story. Like how he first comes across magic, how he finds out he is in a different world other than our own. How he had to build up his skills by learning magic, language, and skills feom scratch instead of it being magically given to him by a deity/god or some mysterious force.

Then you get his backstory, his previous life. His core before he became Rudy in this life. I would say the transition from his previous life to his new one is definitely realistic in a way. If you were reborn from another world having this personality. It won't immediately change for the better and vice versa for the worst. The character stays true to his core - definitely gets away with a lot of things being a baby and a child with the advantage of being able to utilize his previous memories not only to get out of trouble but also science to support his magical powers.

Most people sadly aren't able to wrap their head around the concept of reincarnation. They still look at Rudy as his previous age instead of accepting his current age in the world. I think the problem is that most people new to Mushoku Tensei. - if you're into gaming, think of it this way. Your doing a new playthrough in a new world with the advantage of your memories and experience. Anything from before no longer matters.

Which would might make it easier for you to view it from Rudy perspective. Also, keeping in mind that the Six Faced World definitely does not hold the same moral, values, or ideologies of our world or Rudy previous world.

I would even go as far to say, based on where Rudy is living right now. Compared to people around him, he definitely lives his life like a saint. I would even criticize him for bringing some of the morals, values, and ideologies from his previous world to the Six Faced World when he should have just left it there. Even almost gets him killed a few times in the story because of it or that side eye from a character since he is not behaving normally by the standards of the Six Faced World.

Another thing I love about the Rudy here, isn't like MC from most Isekai. He isn't afraid or rejects women. He actually likes women for a change and isn't afraid to show it.

TLDR:- if by episode 6, you are already finding things you don't like about the show based on principles you hold dear. This story isn't for you move on. There are a lot of other shows out there.

It's kinda funny how people criticized Rudy for his mistakes and miscalculation that led to the death of an adventurer in the forest.

However, no one is bringing up. He was willing to wipe out a whole village just so he could save Eris from Nokopara and his plans. Perchance no one noticed because it wasn't given much attention. Would have loved to have gotten Rujerd perspective a bit more both in LN and anime alike since I feel it was slightly glossed over.

I also am posting this at the same time. I wanma get your thoughts about what Rujerd felt during that time. Did he notice Rudy was willing to wipe out a whole village for the sake of Eris?

Disclaimer: I have not been caught up to date, I have only consumed the anime so far. Am not sure if it is accurately adapted as one to one with the Manga. As far as I know there is no light novel to this work. Not sure if there are some context, nuance or details I am missing from the manga but this are my feelings so far regarding the anime.

Currently I am on Season 5 episode 4 as I am writing this post. I started to watch Rent a Girlfriend cause feel can deeply relate to the character. I might have done the same if this particular service was available in my country.

There has been a lot of highs and lows for me while watching the anime, there were also some fun times too.

However, recently I am getting frustrated with Kazuya to be honest. Specially with how he has been ignoring Ruka-chan.

I understand he wants Chizaru, however it is plain as day she doesn't want him as much as he wants her. Why not take the hint? Just take the plunge and tell his grandmother that they have broken up and is now dating Ruka-chan.

Ruka has been doing everything in her power so Kazuya will notice her, even for his family to notice her. It's kinda hard to see her being ignored. After all this time he has gone through the same thing, then he does it to someone else. Just doesn't make any sense. Specially if all he wanted all along is to have a girlfriend who will love him. Here comes Ruka-chan and he ignores her. Like what's up with that?

Is it just me? Am I missing something?? Sorry for the rant guys... anyone care to shed some light here and share their prespective? Would appreciate it.

It seems a lot of people are calling Mushoku Tensei a wish fulfillment anime. Personally, if it was anything close to that, I think he wouldn't have gone through all those hardships he had. The following things are what I think would need to change so we can call it a wish fulfillment anime fantasy.

In this scenario- let us say the mana calamity takes place.

I would have Zenith get teleported with Paul and Norn so she wouldn't get trapped in the labyrinth.

Phillip and Hilda get saved by Ghislaine in the same spot before they get killed.

Sauros finds a way to survive, maybe backed up by someone or escapes. He can also die and his death can be used to push Phillip to try and get more power.

By the time Rudy and Eris make it back home. Rudy is stronger. His family is reunited, so there is no longer a need for him to go to the northern continent.

Phillip still pushes for Rudy and Eris to get married, Eris would now be open to it even more since she fell in love harder for Rudy during their travels.

They make Rudy the head of Notos family. He becomes a noble. In this timeline, I can only possibly him marrying Roxy. Eris once said a noble is judged by how many wives he has, Roxy being a powerful magician and how she helped find fitoans who were part of the calamity might help with this.

Only thing am not sure how Sylphie would end up with Rudy.

After being ablenti consume Paul Gaiden - defense cements how Paul is a gigachad. If you think Rudy was the GOAT. Paul was even better. Rudy might be stronger. But in terms of experience, body count, and experience. Paul is definitely the GOAT. ❤️

Just can't help thinking about it - I know there are a lot of people who are into Fanfic writing or has minds that can weave a story from nothing knowing a lot of the world of Mushoku Tensei.

I just wanna pick your brain with a "What if " scenario. What if Zenith took Rudy and went to her family in Millis after Paul got Lilia pregnant. What do you think will be the biggest changes in the story? How will Rudy fair in Millis?

If you were in Rudy place, would it be easy for you to take a life? Given it is a war (which I won't go into much details, since those who already read the actual light novel you already know what am talking about.)

Personally, I think i would have a field day. Just throwing saint and emperor magic tier spells. Rudy mindset in this part is definitely childish, specially he is going against the man god. Keeps me wondering how he survived so far.

I am currently reading the LN again. While watching analysis of a content creator. I can't help but hate how Rudy let's go of the opportunity to sleep with Elianse. Am pretty sure if he would have asked Sylphie for permission, also telling Sylphie how he had to sleep with Elianse due to the curse. Sylphie would probably have been good with it.

Just another example why Rudy is frustrating, he himself is inserting morals and values from his old world. Yet still lots if people hating on Rudy. Lots of lost opportunity like this one cause he can't just embrace the morals and values of this world instead. I wonder, would Sylphie even be good having Elianse marry Rudy as well. Oh the possibilities.

Edit: It shows how most people misjudged Rudy. Just by him not taking advantage of this opportunity shows how saint like he is. Even I, who love his character, get frustrated with him missing opportunities like this.

This is why light novel is the best - he explains everything perfectly and how Rudy doesn't even notice a lot of things about himself that a lot of others do. Which is a touch of brilliance that it's not visited when in his perspective but visited when in the perspective of other characters. I would encourage all you guys to watch this.
