My 280 grit soft wheel is finally giving up the ghost. I usually get the regular resin-diamond wheels, but I see Kingsley North has "polysint" upgraded wheels. Not sure if I should shell out the extra for it.

My concern is the polysint wheels arent foam-backed. I dont just do cabs, I polish certain rough and do repairs etc. Obviously using the corner of the hard 80/220 wheels almost immediately leaves a big divot. But for stones that have a flatter side, I tent to rock the flat part against the corner of the soft wheels to great success.

So that brings me to the concern - will the resin polysint 280 wheel leave a similar gash as the hard diamond wheels if I rock the mineral against the corner? Is there any big difference between these and traditional foam-backed resin wheels?

Recently got this planter of strawberry plants and the yield has been abysmal. I keep it elevated to keep away from slugs and most predators, and I give a simple miracle grow garden hose fertilizer weekly. The leaves look fine, the runners are healthy, and my other strawberry plants from other sources are doing swell.

Thoughts?
