Suspension on the Land Cruiser was getting pretty tired at 230k miles, so it was time.

Went with a pretty casual with an OME setup, set right around 2 inches. Torsion bars, upper control arms, rear coils… actually doing it right instead of just cranking things up. OME shocks were on backorder, so I ran Ironman nitro gas shocks front and rear to keep things moving.

Took it out to Tahuya and honestly… it handled it better than the Rivian in a lot of spots. Shorter wheelbase made a huge difference getting through tighter sections and not dragging as much.

Biggest thing I had to re-learn though… letting off the gas doesn’t slow you down like the Rivian. You actually have to use the brake. Funny how quick you get used to regen doing everything for you.

Overall though, completely different feel now. Way more controlled, way more capable, and finally feels like it matches what I want it to do.

Now to get the ARB rear bumper/tire carrier and set up my lights.
