Yeah, I know oil paint on a phone is a terrible idea for a phone case, but I dislike acrylic enough to do it anyway. I’m not used to painting this small so it doesn’t look great, but some advice would be appreciated, thanks!
My main ideas are either fabric paint or lace, but I’d like some other options- thank you, so sad about this bag :’)

I have been out of my parents’ custody for two years now and am entirely no contact, but I’m going to turn 18 soon, and when I do I want to leave my mother with some kind of evidence of who she really married. My father lies about a lot of things, but I could never get her to believe me no matter how obvious it was, so I’m looking for a way to get solid, unshakable evidence.
My father claimed to have joined the army when he was 17 in 1978. The location in which he served would change every time you asked (and if you called him out on changing it, he’d try to gaslight you over it). The most common answers were Cuba, Argentina, or Mexico, but they were always in the southwestern hemisphere. He claimed he was a Green Beret, sent there to “fight drugs and kill communists(?),” always talking about staying in the jungle for weeks on end, as well as frequent skydiving (his excuse for being 5’4). His ID and driver’s license say nothing about him being a veteran, and I remember whenever he asked for a veteran discount in stores and restaurants, he would refuse to hand over any identification because it was “an invasion of privacy.” His only military “memorabilia” that I saw were military grade sleeping bags that looked very new and totally unused, as well as a military jumpwings pin. When I asked to see his uniform he would always say he’d show me later, and when I asked if he was still in contact with his military friends, he would start talking like, “hmm… old Jarvis Twofingers? Well no, I guess not- hmm… maybe good ol’ Tabel Psalt? No no, I think he died,” for, like, 10 minutes straight. The most concerning part of all of this is his tattoo. He has a tiny lightning bolt tattoo that he claims he got for the army, but if he’s lying, that tattoo looks a hell of a lot like a SS bolt, and his obsession with it being “hidable” was also worrisome, especially considering how often he went on his “Hitler was a actually a pretty good guy” rants. I am having a near impossible time finding any records whatsoever, and now that I am no contact, so it’s not like I could snoop around the house (and even if I could, he would always know when any of his things were so much as touched, and would have his “who the hell was in my basement” tantrums when they were).
I have no intention of reconnecting with my family through anything more than a letter, but considering some of the other vile shit I know he’s hiding, I hope to at least get my mom questioning him. And yes, the authorities are well aware of all of this, they just don’t care, especially considering that my father is a police officer.
