Which gmt800 suv to buy ?

Hey everybody. I was reviewing the gmt800s and i've come to the conclusion that it's the cream of the crop suv in my budget range.

-reliable power trains.

-comftorable and spacious interiors.

-affordable parts, maintenance & relatively easy to work on.

-can carry multiple passengers.

-perfect base & structure for a huge subwoofer box in the back that can potentially shake store windows if it reaches 150 decibels.

Which vechile/trim should I pick from an aesthetic & or mechanical standpoint & why ?

Which gmt800 suv suits your fancy & why ?

(Doesn't have to be the be gmt800 suv in the pictures, feel free to explain how your suv looks or upload a pic)

Thank you in advance. 😁

Hand me down special. The 1.6 Turbo Engine Hyundai tucson

I'm 19. Roast my hand-me down vechile. It was gifted by a distant family member who knew a guy who knew a guy who'm passed away (R.I.P🕊) whose family needed to clear out his house to cash it. So this car was gifted to me. Apparently, the owner who drove this car was a alcoholic which explains the damage. Sad & true story. 😔

The vechile has 80 thousand miles. It's in good condition mechanically and cosmetically. (Not shown in photos)

You may have heard the song "Closer" by "The Chainsmokers." It mentions moving into the city in a broke down car. The song also mentions the word "Tucson". I believe the artists mispronounced "hyundai tucson" & instead they said "rover" when they said " backseat of your rover" I believe they should update the lyrics and music

It's the fastest car i've ever driven. It's already giving me headaches because the driver side window doesn't fully roll up & the interior rattles too much when I put the equalizer bass setting at +20 decibels.

Do your worst. Roast my vechile. Thanks.

I wanna have the loudest bass in my city.

Good evening ladies & gentlemen. I hope your day is going well. I am 19 years old & I want to have the loudest bass for a vechile with the 2nd row intact in my city. (3rd row/cargo area build in the daily driver) I have read alot about the car audio topic. I am willing to continue learning from people's experiences as well.

Here is some context.

Vechile of choice will be a gmt800 Tahoe.

I am currently in the brainstorming part of the build.

- I want the decibel meter to read 150 decibels or more at the dash.

Okay, everybody. Help me decide, i'm set on choosing 18 inch subwoofers because of the cone area. However,

the tahoe has a resonant frequency between 35-39 hz if I remember correctly. I'd like to be able to shake store windows with my bass, & I think 35 hz is too high to rattle store windows, so I'll likely tune to a lower frequency.

Okay here are the questions I have.

  1. What frequency should I tune the box too & why?

  2. What subsonic filter do you have for your amplifier? & why

  3. Are you happy with your car audio setup? Explain why.

  4. Are you satisfied with the frequency range and the total output of your subwoofers and woofers? Do you favor some speaker parameters or brands over the others?

  5. What does the audio side of your sound system look like?

  6. How much rms are you running in total?

  7. Have you tested for voltage drop? If voltage drop was discovered, what was your solution.

  8. At what volume levels do you play your system? Is there moments where you play the system louder than usual ?

  9. Any advice or guidelines on bassing responsibly?

  10. Where do I attend car audio shows in my area ? (Ventura county)

Feel free to leave your response, comment, opinion, advice, insight, etc. Much appreciated. Thank you for typing, reading, commenting, etc.🤓

Witty, lyrical Rap with deep low-end? (No "thug/hood" themes please)

Hey everybody, i'm 19 & i'm looking for motivational rap and hip hop artists and songs. (No "thug/hood/gangster" themes please)

I grew up listening to all genres of music, I mainly listen to mainstream "happy motivational pop music" from the 2000s and so forth. I also really enjoy NCS beats, epic rap battles, "sexually assertive" RnB & ironically uplifting positive church music. Oh and I absolutely love the "Doki Doki Literature Club" sound track. I'm open to listening to and maybe replying to all of your recommendations.

But when it came to rap and hip hop it was always very heavy with "thug" "gangster" "west coast" "hood" types of themes.

I don't listen to that type of rap music anymore.

( I came to the conclusion that I don't like the themes and core values of that niche type of rap and hip hop music & I especially don't wanna reinforce or associate myself with that niche type of music.)

The rap/hip hop music I currently listen to is known as the "epic rap battles" niche on the internet. In my own words, that niche depicts historical figures or video game or media characters rapping or singing with witty language, puns, roasts & metaphors, rhetorical devices etc.

For a bit of context of who I am now, I'm the "cool older brother full time college student" in my family, I often organize front yard football or soccer matches with my younger family members & so I try my best to lead by example.

Also as a side note, I have a high spl sound system in my suv. The subwoofers get so loud that If I play a bass test tone it can easily be heard from a couple blocks away. So yeah, i'm all about that bass as well.

I'm pretty much looking for :

Bass heavy, motivational rap music.

Side note :

Thank you for reading, I look forward to seeing and listening to your recommendations. I love to read and see people's perspectives so please do your best to give thoughtful & lengthy responses, furthermore I would love to see what the music means to you. Much appreciated.

Skin Condition That I Can Not Rule Out. Photos Included

My skin is acting super weird

I will explain the best I can.

(If you don't wanna read everything I typed just read this segment)

From clear skin to hypopigmentated skin, to the hypopigmentated skin peeling and flaking, to the hypopigmentation settling and shrinking, to me skipping a shower for a couple days and now the spots where I had hypopigmentation are now areas of skin with those red bumps. And it's kind of itchy and it burns really really badly after applying anti fungal shampoos.

Story. I'm not recommending this to anybody

So I was washing my face with a gentle facial cleanser and then moisturizing after the shower and I had clear healthy skin.

And then I stopped my facial care routine and I literally did nothing for my skin for about a week.

Then out of nowhere a random unexplained hypopigmentation broke out (especially around the hairline) and I didn't know what to do, I kept taking hot showers but I was skipping the facial care routine.

And then a week later the hypopigmentated spots were peeling and flaking after a shower & it made me cry so I asked AI what to do and it said to moisturize, something about a severely compromised skin barrier so I began to moisturize daily.

So one week later the hypopigmentation shrinks and I began to shower and wash my face with Nizoral ( A anti fungal shampoo) and a head and shoulders shampoo & the hypopigmentation kept shrinking, this combo helped reduce the hypopigmentation patch sizes.

And then i'd hop out the shower & I'd do the facial cleanser + lotion combo. And my skin was no longer peeling or flaking and was apparently healing.

& then I stopped showering for a couple days, and these red bumps began to appear on my forehead and face. (2 says ago)

I was concerned about the red bumps so I washed my face with the gentle facial cleanser and I applied lotion afterwards. ( 2 days ago) And the next morning (Yesterday) I woke up and now the red bumps look more aggressive and inflamed.

I took a shower today & applied the nizoral and head and shoulders shampoo on my face and scalp and areas where you see those red bumps and it burns so bad.

I have an appointment with a dermatologist in about a month.

I'm scared, I don't know what's going on with my skin.

Thank you in advance.

Note: by sound deadening I mean adding butyl aluminum + closed cell foam. (Maybe possible mass loaded vinyl.)

1st gen armada.

Pros : tight, rigid interior, would probably feel rock solid with sound deadening. Nimble, sportier more aggressive driving feel compared to the gmt800 or Toyota sienna.

Some aftermarket car audio specific support: custom speaker pods, custom alternators etc.

Exterior styling is unique and this techno moderny eccentric look.

Strong documented reliability.

Cons : less aftermarket support compared to the gmt800 for car audio upgrades.

Less community support for high spl builds, requires more precision and calculation in the system building process.

Leather seats don't feel as plush as the gmt800s.

Gmt800 suvs.

Pros : very high aftermarket support and community support for spl builds, these reach 150 db quite commonly.

Exterior styling of the suv is less polarizing.

More comftorable seats.

Strong documented reliability.

Cons : more truck like driving feel.

Interior is less rigid compared to the armada.

Interior feels more dated.

3rd gen Toyota siennas.

Pros : rigid interior. Toyota reliability, more space for passengers.

Superior cabin gain, very large enclosure.

High output alternator support. Decent factory sound deadening. If 100 covered in sound deadening would likely feel like a concrete vault.

Cons :

May require additional bracing because of sliding doors.

Sliding doors may cause very undesirable unique rattles because of nature.

What vechiles can compare and compete with a gmt800 Tahoe that can hit 150 db rear hatch build? Can the Toyota sienna compete ?

At 16, I owned a gmt800 Tahoe. I worked on it alot, Gutted the interior, sound deadened with Amazon brand butyl. Also applied closed cell foam. (100% coverage) Big 3 upgrade with 0 gauge wire. Jp40 lithium battery powering a 2500 watt amplifier and a 1500 watt 4 channel amp. Single 6.5 inch mid range speakers in the doors. HT 18 subwoofer in a 6 cubic foot sealed box. ( I bring this up because I lile the technical and DIY aspect of car audio)

System sounded clean but lacked heavily in midbass because of speaker selection (in my opinion mid bass is between 60-150, what do ya'll think?)

Anyways, at 17 I totalled the vechile (😭)

I'm currently 19, with a hand me down 2018 Hyundai tucson, it's high mileage and reliability issues questionable, vechile parked in driveway.

I'm currently dailying my mom's 2018 Toyota sienna mini van, top trim, comftorable, spacious, decent sound system & acoustics.

Debating wether to buy a gmt800 suv or a Toyota sienna minivan & installing a powerful cargo area build.

I know gmt800s are common bass vechiles & many have reached 150 db with proper sound deadening, electrical upgrades, wiring skills, a custom box and much more.

But are the same goals achievable with the Toyota Sienna ?

Other spacious reliable vechiles to consider? Suburban over the Sienna possibly ?

Note: These are the genres I listen to the most in order.

Happy pop music from the 2010 era. Video game rap battles, celebrity rap battles, video game character raps. Dubstep music. Rock music with fast drum beats. Uplifting Christianity music. R n b.

Any guidance, advice, insights, personal experiences, comments, recommendations, etc will be appreciated, thank you.
