- Fuck TCU - Fuckin' purple? Seriously? Northwestern gets their asses kicked in purple, but at least they look cool.

- Fuck Old Dominion and Appalachian State - you both were the crusaders in this trend of FCS schools making the heroic jump to FBS, now the trend is simply moving up to take up more space in shitty conferences

- Fuck the inevitable midterm election commercials during football games - and fuck anybody mentioning them in game threads

The last time Penn State played a Friday home matchup was September 27th, 1889. It was the season opener versus Swarthmore College, and the Nittany Lions strolled to 20-6 victory. During this time, Penn State football played their home games on the Old Main lawn.

Being in their club sports infancy and an independent, finding even regional opponents was tough for PSU. The team only played 4 games that season and didn't play the remaining 3 games until November. The following 2 were road games against Lafayette (PA) and Lehigh. PSU were outscored 0-132 between both contests.

The game against Lehigh marked the greatest defeat in Penn State football history, as the Mountain Hawks laid a 106-0 thrashing on them. It also stands as the greatest score differential in Lehigh football history.

Even if this is/isn't the case for Penn State not doing Friday home games, it's still better than Michigan just saying nah just because. Christ, I'm so bored, I just want real football back in my life again.

I feel like everyone's comments will show their age, and that's probably a good thing, considering the EA Sports-like spike in everything imaginable for the Hoosiers program over the past two years.

You look at any dominant sports franchise or program in U.S. history, every other fan outside of that fandom will tell you, "Yup, they were definitely the douchebags of that era". CFB has had plenty: 70's Oklahoma, 80's Miami, 90's Nebraska, 00's USC, 10's Alabama, and Georgia seemed like they were headed that route (and boy were they) before a shift in NIL, etc., around the country.

I don't view Indiana as villains. They haven't been good enough long enough to even be considered such. In a weird way, they're akin to Boise State in the 2000s if BSU had won more than just a singular BCS game. The difference of course being that they had to separate themselves at the top an elite conference without being grandfathered upward in the polls every week.

Overall, Indiana has been playing some legit ball since Cig tripped and fell on their living room couch. He pays rent.

Right now, once again, we have no idea who RB1 is or what this man looks like. After the summer incident with Mekhi Nelson down in Florida, the job is up for grabs among 4 other guys (2 really).

We've never run a formal 4-2-5 before this upcoming season. You got some packages like that from Bo back in the day, but not regularly.

Common talking point over the summer among fans is how low the football buzz has been.....and that it actually feels good for once.

No more January 6th ("J6") clap-back bullshit. No more crying racism whenever person or group simply doesn't get their way just because. No more undermining family units or household. No more "do better" farces. No more screaming "mysoginy" because the candidate you didn't like won. No more calling Christians inherently evil. No more fucking up your own cities on purpose because you're an immature child who somehow made it this far in life already.

America spoke on Election Day. Don't every let anyone tell you differently. Oh, you didn't vote? Then you're a moron who deliberately silenced your own voice. No, you don't get to complain no matter what thereafter.

America picked Trump. Hate groups like 50501 and other Signal app chat lovers can gatekeep the conversations on this site all they want. America finally woke up.

One thing I'm grateful for when it comes to the portal is new faces every year, in the sense of either immediate impact or just simply starting. Nebraska's relevance anymore is trying to get back to relevance and it's been that way for almost a decade now. All of this curse bs has ruined the college careers of several great players; some shined, others riddled with multiple injuries.

The portal allows new faces to come in and become familiar with the tradition NU had for a long time, but they don't have to bear the cross of constant paranoia for past screwups or every off-season being a pressure cooker.

I honestly just want Colandrea to enjoy his season here and ball out. Yes, I "hope the kids just have fun", because I've seen what the boomer expectations have done to every other kid who had a chance to great for the past 25 years.

Anyway, that my zero hype rant, how's everyone else's last two months without cfb going?

I'm considering cutting off all contact with my sister. She is 39 and has mistreated me entirely since we were young. Never kind, only nice when there's a catch or needs more people "on her side", physically abusive when we were children, makes me feel left out or alone on purpose. I swear to fucking God, so many damn people require others to decide for them or tell them what to get at a restaurant or store. It goes beyond the simple "What's it taste like?" There are several followup questions that basically tell the employee, "If I don't like this, you're responsible for it. You told me to get it."
